Hip coffee setting with spacious and well designed interior and patio, just next to state street, good coffee and ice tea

Probably my favorite spot in Santa Barbara for a quick breakfast and very very well made espresso beverage. Their oatmilk latte is nothing short of phenomenal. A big plus is the dog friendly patio.

Handlebar is top shelf in every category! As a full time traveler, I’ve sampled the country’s/world’s best coffee. Handlebar succeeded in bringing great coffee and superior service together. The staffs’ friendly greetings and genuine smiles makes one feel welcomed and appreciated. To top it all off, they offer great food choices as well!

Great local independent coffee shop serving up liquid gold and baked goods. Plenty of seating, both indoors and out.

We get five coffee roasters in the downtown area to sample espressos, in our opinion this place was excellent and came in third. Super nice staff and a really nice atmosphere.

One of the best gibraltars I’ve had. Pastries were incredible as well. I got the cinnamon roll which was perfect. Not too sweet and was also unique with a touch of hazelnuts.

The best coffee place in SB. Good balance in acidic taste and fruity. It is surely different from Starbuck's dark coffee roasting. So, you will really like the coffee here if you are tired of dark roasting bitter taste.

The cafe latte was excellent, however they don’t seem to know how to make a green tea latte (their matcha had a bitter finish that tasted like black pepper); however the service was really lacking, they handed us someone else’s order, then made it seem like it was our fault ( they clearly didn’t have a system in place for checking names); they also served us our order after many other people behind us in line were served. They had 4 people working on orders behind two espresso machines and 2 people at the register so there were plenty of staff but no one seemed to know what they were doing. One of the baristas put her finger into her ear while making drinks (ewe), thankfully she didn’t make ours otherwise I would have left. The breakfast items were pretty good but this place is really lacking in service so can’t recommend going there, would not return.

I just ate the best cinnamon cardamom gluten free donut I’ve ever tasted. Heavenly!!
