A group of us were passing through town on business when we decided to stop in for breakfast. All of the staff was exceptional. Our food came up quickly and tasted amazing.
As we were finishing up our meal the owner had a graceful way of telling us thank you. I should have mentioned that my group was all active duty military in uniform. This went beyond a good restaurant experience due to the fact that we were reminded of the fact that there are good quality and caring people in the great state of California.
Thank you for the wonderful experience. If I’m ever passing through again I’ll be happy to take my business here!

Came here around lunch on a Wednesday and had a pleasant experience.
Food was delicious (I ordered the shakshuka) pictured below. Service was great, staff is friendly.
Parking is street parking so it’s better to plan ahead. Also the spots are metered
Overall I would definitely come back and recommend this place

The menu is sort of boring, and the food was just ok.
The place was busy on a Sunday brunch, so I had to wait quite a bit.

Best service, it was a super hot day and our server moved us to a table and pointed a fan right at us! Food was fresh and delicious 😋

Came here for lunch, the Big Sky Asian Noodle Bowl was delicious! Fresh ingredients and very good flavor. Broth isnt super rich, but still tasty. The only negatives…menu was not clear about food allergen ingredients and when I asked the waiter he didnt know either. The service was mediocre in that the waiter didnt really stop by and see if I needed anything after serving the food. The ice tea was good flavor, but hardly any ice served in it so it was warm.

I'm a part time ride share driver and have driven past Big Sky countless times but have never been inside. A rider offered to treat me breakfast and to my surprise I found the atmosphere pleasant and the service excellent. The menu was extensive and the food delicious. If you like good food this is the place!!!

We loved Big Sky Cafe so much we ate there twice during our weekend stay in SLO! We have many dietary needs and their quality food allowed us to eat out! Their meat's are delicious with no preservatives or sugar! Great salads. Great staff!

I walk in, look at the host stand and grab a couple of menus to sit at the bar. As we were sitting down, the manager told an employee, "look at you! Getting people in during this time of day! Good for you!" Which, would be perceived as having a more one-on-one customer service, right? Not for me.
I was sitting at the bar with my wife, I'm wearing a bright red jersey so, I can't be a nail on the wall blending in. Still not even an acknowledgement at this point.
10 or more minutes pass, I tell a worker, "hey, we're ready to order." He responds with, "someone will take your order."
Okay, cool.
A server has her tablet for placing orders right next to me at the bar and STILL no acknowledgement...
Another 10 minutes pass by and nobody even bothers checking on us.
This is with us sitting at a bar, where someone always wants a drink as soon as possible!
We got up and left after another 5 minutes.
Such a huge disappointment.

I've been eating at this restaurant for over 15 years and is is usually a great place to eat! Lots of vegetarian options and the locals know the cornbread muffins are the bomb! Easy downtown location and the restaurant has a nice open feel to it. Staff are super friendly and will do their best to make it a good experience.
