Visited SLO, enjoyed breakfast at Big Sky Cafe. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Ordered the Devil's Mess, fresh fruit, and OJ. Great meal to start the day. Friendly courteous staff, worth a visit.

After eating heavy and unhealthy meals during our vacation my bf and I decided to eat here. The staff was warm and welcoming and the meals were delicious. We had the polenta fries for appetizers and I had the vegan salad and it was amazing and so filling. Wonderful experience overall.

Wonderful food! Atmosphere could use a little updating. I think we might’ve caught them on a busy night because there were only 3 people for the whole place. In fact, saw 4 tables sit down, wait, and leave because no waiter came to their table. On the plus side: the chef knows what he’s doing. The melted corned beef reuben was outstanding!! The only saving grace to the night was the food.

Great place to grab vegan/vegetarian food but still with good choices for the omnivores you might be dining with. Breakfast is my favorite meal here and I just wish they served it all day. Staff is great and helpful, going as far as to offer extra coffee to go on a chilly day. My go-to place to eat in downtown SLO.

Something about burger order cannot be medium rare raises flag for me!
Taste was good, good portion size.
Limited beer selection on tap, but good pills.
Friendly service.

The food here is great. The staff is generally friendly. They have some great Vegan/vegetarian options (try the soyrizo on their tacos) . Overall it's a good restaurant and I come here a lot. The only thing is that I never know what to expect service wise. Sometimes it's not the greatest, sometimes they're not the friendliest. It took me about 4 visits to finally get into their groove.

Tasty, healthy, farm-to-table high quality ingredients, organic fruits and vegetables. I always feel great after eating at Big Sky Cafe. Service is warm and friendly. The vibe is relaxing. I really like sweet potato fries, brussel sprouts, hummus, ahi tuna with noodles and chicken salad with figs.

I’m not one to usually write reviews, but I had one of the worst dining experiences here. We came during a breakfast rush, so we expected longer than average wait times, but our waiter was incredibly rude and completely forgot about our table. It took almost a half hour for someone to take our order, and then another 45 minutes for our food to come. Except they forgot our toast, and brought it out after we finished our meal, and our table was cleared. After the rush died down, the waiter never brought our check and after waiting and waiting I finally just paid in cash and left. The mediocre scramble, and undercooked potatoes were not worth the stress or wait.

We came here really early in the morning!
The waitress was really nice and we had to sit outside (covid). She was nice enough to put us under the heaters so we'd stay warm!
I got the huevos rancheros and it was pretty good! I had no idea it was a vegan plate. So hats off to them for making this good!
My kids got pancakes and eggs, fresh fruit.
They enjoyed it.
My husband had the Chile verde omelette and was surprised to see how small the serving was. You could probably eat it in one bite! He was pretty disappointed and not pleased.
The coffee cake was my favorite part!!
Would I come here again? MAYBE without my husband. We try new restaurants every time we come to San Luis Obispo. I'm glad we tried this place but probably won't come again. Our breakfast tab was a little over $100 (a little much for us).

The skies the limit on their adventures menu. Breakfast, lunch & dinner explodes of geographic bounties. Most of the selections delights and surprises the senses.
Great for the health conscious, vegetarians, & carnivores alike. Oenophiles can raise a glass to their fine selection of wines. Food served on colorful plates, service welcoming and attentive.
<-> Over years of use, I've have notice the furniture and decor in need of a reboot.
