Portside Coffee & Gelato

Fast service. Great baked goods. Awesome acai bowl. Opens at 6 am. Definitely a better choice than the green mermaid.

1st time here, had to try the coffee&gelato! It didn't disappoint. I had the iced hazelnut latte and it was perfect. I also tried the strawberry gelato, it was the perfect summer treat. The inside eating area is beautiful. I enjoyed the views. I have to say there is no shade where you order. The sun was extremely bright and I was sweating while trying to order. Also, the menu is placed high above the ordering window so it was hard to see with the sun and its digital and moves too quickly. I had hard time looking at options. There are no printed menus as of yet.
I plan to return, I want to try more coffee...its just too good!!

This little place is an excellent location to grab a coffee, pastry or breakfast sandwich. It's a walk-up window ordering system, but then you can relax in their open dining area which has great views of the Broadway pier area and other waterfront views. This area is also great in the evenings for sunset since it is facing west. This was my 1st time actually eating here. I ordered their bacon, egg and cheese sandwich which came on a brioche bun with Chipotle aoli. It was a meal! Lots of egg and lots of bacon. Reasonably priced too.
There is also a viewing deck on the upper level for the public to view sunsets from.

Was in line at 10:45. Got to the counter at 10:55. Waited for the sales associate to notice me. By the time she acknowledged me, it was 11:06 and she said they weren't serving any food after 11:00. I did not point out that I was at the counter before11:00 but she wasn't ready for me yet. I just sighed and ordered lunch food at the bar around the corner. Not their finest moment. :-)

Everybody enjoyed their beverage/s. The cold chai tea latte was very refreshing on a humid day in San Diego.

Delicious Coffee... I had a Iced Chai Latte and It was so good on this nice semi warm Sunday... Must try coffee!!!

Their gelato hits the sweet spot on a hot day. A recommended stop when walking down the marina and little italy.

They will only give you a 20oz hot tea. Want 12oz, because 20oz of tea is an unreasonable amount of liquid? Sorry- won’t do it. Don’t waste money or time- go elsewhere. What a joke.

This place is lovely. Open super early at 6am, and the two staff members were very positive and nice. Really makes a difference first thing in the am. Their glass patio over looks the water, and can part of the Navy base. Bathrooms are clean, and food and drinks were good.

The coffee here was pretty good and the environment, with a view of the ocean, is very nice.
