Neighborhood third-wave coffee staple. Roasting on-site, every drink is fresh and prepared using top-shelf equipment and technique. I’ve been coming here regularly from their first year in operation, and this has become my personal baseline for every other shop I visit, and few measure up. Coffee purists: This is your spot.

I just had the most delicious cup of pour over coffee at Coffee and Tea Collective this morning. Served at the perfect temperature, it was flavorful and nuanced, a beautiful, balanced, delicious cup of coffee.

Another little gem in San Diego.... quaint, relaxing and friendly. Clean restrooms and most importantly safe... if In the area a must see.

I love San Diego on an early Sunday morning when almost everyone is sleeping in. Found this place looking for a different place and was pleasantly surprised. Delicious Tea and coffee. Still reeling at how the barista matched my drink to my mood. Wonderful.

Such a cute, minimalistic interior! This place is the definition of a hipster cafe. They have simple, but delicious coffee and really cute decor. A must go to for those who love coffee shops and taking cute photos.
We ordered a chai latte and a mocha. Both were very bitter, which I don't particularly mind but if you want a sweeter drink I'd avoid these. The people who made our coffee were very friendly and inviting. This is a great place to have a coffee date as the vibe is super chill. There is a counter running along one of the sides of the walls with a few tall chairs. The other wall has a huge table that looks like a good place to study, but it might be crowded during the day.
I would definitely come here again just for the atmosphere of the place. Parking is pretty bad as this is in the Hillcrest area so be weary. This is place coffee lovers must go to at least once!

Loved out date here! Defiantley one of the best coffee shops in the area. Baristas enjoy their job, communicate with guests and add love to their drinks. Would recommend this place as well as the amazing dishes.
Update: now everyone who works here just has additude. Go to the other one for great customer service.

My favorite coffee shop in San Diego! Clean, contemporary, simple, and of course amazing coffee. I always get their cold brew iced coffee that they have on tap- delicious and freaking strong. It's obvious they are dedicated to their craft, you'll see it in their lattes, slow drips, etc. I also love that they have local SD newspapers on hand, so you can plan your weekend of music, culture, activities. Highly recommend, and a must for all coffee lovers alike.

I've been facing much difficulty finding a spot that not only does Pour Overs, but does them properly from brew temp to method/technique... Coffee & Tea Collective surprised me (I was prepared to be let down based off my previous Pour Over searching). Brew temp and technique offered a well balanced finish. I would like to see more Beans available for Pour Over - but it was also a plus that they don't have the typical Ethiopian and Columbian.

You can not go wrong with the Coffee & Tea Collective. I've been coming here since it opened. And I have made habitual weekly trip here just to have coffee. I highly recommend their Latte. Latte art is on point. And for eats, I say get a pastry (pop tart) or better yet, Avocado Toast!

Fantastic coffee and service - they taste test their own stuff and are very polite. I stopped in to do some morning work (or procrastinate) while waiting for traffic to blow over and was happily surprised by what came in the cup. I found it a fine place to work in the morning; plenty of seats and chill music at this hour.
