A small coffee (& tea) shop off El Cajon. I came for an after hours music event, but was still able to treat myself to a delicious veggie hummus tart and the evening's signature drink: Plumdog Millionaire. So. Good. I hope it can win a place on the regular menu!! Also, they have matcha in addition to some other looseleaf teas. C&T FTW!

The coffee is wonderful. The shop has a good ambiance. Coffee is always Full bodied and Strong. Service is always friendly. Bought a whole bean bag for home ☕️ too.
Last time we went here for a coffee I got a cappuccino and my wife got a latte. Some places (ahem Starbucks) don’t make strong and tasty coffee. This place does. The cappuccino was bold and perfectly frothed. Got me wired for the day ahead!
The pastry 🥐 we had was a handmade toaster strudel (egg and bacon). They don’t make the pastries but get them from some A+ shops. This particular prime piece of pastry perfection was from the bakery pop up Freshman Year. Why is the pastry selection important? Because anyone who has a coffee shop of quality knows that the coffee must be paired with a little bite for maximum impact. These shopkeepers / baristas know this, and hit the mark on their delicious coffee and their simple yet superb pastry offerings.
Great coffee, service, pastries, and ambiance. Keep up the great work!

Great food and coffee, not too expensive. The atmosphere is very minimal and "unfinished".

I have never had a Batista be anything other than delightful here. Their coffee has been a mainstay for me since they opened years ago, and I love the coffee subscription. Their cold brew is unrivaled.

so good! i tried their seasonal rose vanilla latte iced, syrup made in house, and it’s bombbb. kind of reminds me of a rose milk tea, sweet and easy to drink. the shop feels roomy for a small space and my barista was really nice and had answers to all of my questions. adding to my san diego go to coffee spots for sure

Good ambience and great food. My buddy purchased hot chocolate and I ordered cold brew milk which I find great. I had a little bit of sip of what he purchased and think it is typical. I truly loved my visit here. I will probably come back.

This place is legit! Was in town for the weekend and looking for good coffee and most certainly was not disappointed. The interior is minimalist with some cool touches. The walls are white and they have the roasting equipment on site in the back. Super nice.
I ordered a pour over of a Kenyan been and really enjoyed it. I ordered the bread with butter and cinnamon sugar, so dang good, I would eat this every morning.
The location is cool with street parking in front and some side street parking around the area.

Wow. Cutest shop. Homemade syrups to elevate your coffee experience! The barista was so helpful and full of passion.
