Good atmosphere. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking on the street. The floor might need a bit more sweeping but other than that it's a good place to study or read.

I went to visit during their soft opening last week. Great specialty coffee roaster. The owner has put a lot of effort into getting beans direct from the farms of Colombia. They had a few different varieties to try all cups made to order. Can't wait for the grand opening!

My daughter and I went here with a close friend. We were fortunate enough to meet with the owners. They shared that they created this well designed coffee spot to invite people to slow down and enjoy coffee as opposed to drinking it on the run. Five stars! Love it. They know their coffee. Love the friendly neighborhood.

Great atmosphere. Really liked the place. Unfortunately, I asked for a cup of black dark-roast coffee, and the girl at the counter acted as though I asked for a hamburger. Sorry we only have medium-roast. OK, I'll have that. Nope, not an enjoyable cup coffee at all. Bitter and bright, neither of us drank the whole cup. I don't know if they ever have dark coffee, or they were just out, but my impression was they don't do dark coffee. I could be wrong. I'll try it again, because it was such a cool place, but if they only have medium-roast, I'm getting a shot in it.

Anyone who enjoys the best coffee drinks will know and appreciate why the attached photo is so stellar. I have not had an oat flat white anywhere in the US as good as this, not since I lived in Melbourne. Supreme quality, hats off to the barista. I do like my flat white a couple ounces smaller, so I'll request as much next time. I did feel unwelcome by the clientele, which I don't hold against TB&TB, just Redondo Beach being conservative I suppose towards those wearing what they want. Thank you!

Neat small coffee shop, roasting their own coffee in house so it smells amazing when you walk by. Chill staff. They're smart in having all their merchandise- Mugs, candles, coffee beans, shirts etc right as you're standing in line. If not for the pandemic, sitting on one of the comfy looking leather couches while enjoying my coffee would have been a perfect way to spend my visit. Maybe sometime soon!

Good tasting cappuccino, a friendly cashier/barista and a nice overall deco. These are the only positive aspects of this coffee place. I’ve visited the Boy & the Bear multiple times now and think a review is at its place. Always long waiting lines, cause.. lack of staff. High prices comparable with a top class 5 star Swiss hotel. If you ask for a ‘to go’ cup you get almost twice the size compared to ‘for here’. Not enough seating indoor. 9 out of 10 times out if food from small menu. Overall 2 stars, the taste of the coffee was star nr 2. Lots of room for improvement.

Only average coffee and only paper cups- is this a Mc Donald? Only hobos drink coffee out of a single use garbage container. Wake up! And at 10am not a single food item available. This is my worst cafe experience in years. Can only rate F for fail.

This shop desperately needs to revisit their process. A lot of people waiting 15-20 minutes for drinks. An order for a single espresso regularly takes more than 20 minutes. If this can get sorted it would be a good shop. Just order ahead and expect to wait much longer.
