Ryan is impressive in both his approach to human interaction and his knowledge of food and beverage. He is excited to give suggestions on new drinks to try. His Turkish coffee is incredible and he is very entertaining. Thanks again Ryan!

The definite highlight of this place is their pour-over coffee, which is delicious. The staff is friendly and it makes a great hang out spot. The tacos from the truck are great too!

Brunch places ..kindly make way coz we have a mighty winner amongst us. Backyard Brew is hands down one the most underrated brunch places I've been to and ticks all checkboxes with aplomb.
This place is hard to discover if you haven't seen it on Yelp probably located in the middle of a parking garage and a farmer's market :-)

Ample seating in the inside with fabulous service. The food probably is the best [and most economical] part of it. My personal favorites were the Avocado Toast and the Egg Sandwich. At ~6-7 $ per dish, this place is an absolute steal and is a breath of fresh air in an age where we pay ~15 for a simple avocado toast. And surely surely the Turkish coffee is a must try.

Very delicious special spiced coffees and teas you can't find anywhere else. The owner Ryan makes the mixes himself and let's you write your inspirational messages to the tables of his back yard coffee place. Great personal service and athmosphere you need to come and check out.

A go to place on California Ave if you're looking for amazing coffee and a great atmosphere. The owner is very knowledgeable and loves to play around with different drink concoctions. They also accept Bitcoin and Lightning Payments if you're a fan of alternate payment methods.

Amazing service and fantastic coffee. Their breakfast food is also pretty good. Be prepared for a little bit of a wait during peak times, as they're pretty popular and they make everything from scratch once you order it.

Interesting coffee menu with all the standards plus additions of spices and other flavors if desired. Vegan friendly- I get the almond mocha. Outdoor and covered seating in a courtyard with a pleasant, artsy, ecclectic community vibe. Free WiFi. A nice place to socialize or get a little work done.

Really cute outdoor shop with a wide variety of drinks. The baristas were extremely helpful and let me try one of the more interesting drinks. Pourover and desert espresso (with rose water and cardamom) highly recommended.

The coffee is amazing here. Highly recommended. They create their own flavors based on the coffee's origins. This is not your typical coffee shop that just mixes coffee with water and calls it a day. Visit the place and learn a new perspective.

A nice and friendly neighbourhood coffee shop with a great selection of teas (I recommend their Lapsang Souchong). Outdoor seating, quiet, work-friendly. I once had to stay there for an hour past their closing time and nobody bothered me - superb service!
