They are everything you’re looking for in a corner cafe! We came twice during the weekend for their Salmon Bagel Locks (BOMB.com!?) and had a Lavender Latte! Only cafe we go to in Monterey

Quaint little coffee shop that has been around for years. Very friendly staff. The pastries are good and they have a good variety. The location is great, if you want to sit and pass the time. You have good views to watch the downtown crowd.

My favorite coffee shop in town. A little corner shop, always filled with people old and young alike, from the study group of college students to the tourist catching up with friends. Plus an excellent selection of coffee, always fresh ground and brewed by the cup so always fresh.

Everything is fantastic and delicious! The people are also super nice and helpful. I couldn't decide what to order because everything sounded so good, but they were patient with me and explained the options while I contemplated. I couldn't have asked for better service or coffee & cake!

I can't leave anything else than a one star review unfortunately. I ordered a tuna sandwich that had a clear rotten taste and almost made me vomit after the first bite.
I can't believe a breakfast place wouldn't check the ingredients for freshness before serving them, that's a huge red flag to me and I don't think any of their food can be trusted.

Only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is due to the service. Either they were training a new employee or they were uninterested in serving us. First, when we placed our food and coffee order with one of the young ladies, the barista lady just stood there and didn't even start making our drinks, she even walked away after our transaction was completed. Our food was great but took it's sweet time though, just like our latte's. We recieved half of our food order so we decided to ask about our lattes thst we ordered since we were waiting AWHILE and we had ordered a large latte and med half caff latte (I know it can be done since I was a barista at one time.) They made a regular medium latte and then someone else's drink came out (when you make a mistake the mistake takes president over any other order) we asked about our large latte and the lady who took our order told us what she "believed" what we ordered which in my experience in food retail you never do. I explained to her no and then begins to hand me regular cup of coffee trying to explain to me that's what I ordered and I said no I ordered a latte half caff she then gave me a disgust look (wow). I'm very disappointed, my boyfriend came here several times his last visit to Monterey and he raved about it and now he is even sadden about this experience. We both been in the industry and couldn't believe how poor the service was. Food was good when it came and then lattes well I've had better and the service terrible. We even tipped them before we received any thing, so just note wait to tip then maybe they will actually go to work and get your order ready in a timely manner.

This place is great! largest menu of items for a coffee shop In Monterey County.
Organic Teas, amazing coffee, fraps etc. Crepes, Sandwhiches, ice cream, smoothies, Organic Oatmeal, quiche, boba drinks and a variety of pastries from Paris bakery.
Open until 10 PM Wifi works great. Plenty of seating.

After moving here I asked around where to go for coffee and many suggested here. Ive been about 4 times, ordered different things everytime, and have yet to be impressed. I went in today looking to have a boba green tea with coconut syrup added and she said she cant do that. I stood there for a second confused then pointrd at the syrup behind here and said you cant just add a pump or two of that in? I dont mind paying extra. She said she cant do that. Never heard of this before, dont know if there was just a weird misunderstanding or what.

I just dropped in and was pleasantly surprised by the changes. The new owner is very welcoming and makes it the friendliest place in Monterey. The pastry was fresh and the coffee tasteful. I certainly plan on coming back.

My favorite coffee shop in downtown Monterey. It's a good spot to do some homework but sometimes the Wi-Fi doesn't work that well so be advised. They have really good coffee, boba, tea and pastries. 10/10 recommend.
