This is a really nice gem of a restaurant if you're in the area. As of writing this, they do have breakfast all day, so I would take advantage of it because it is incredible. The serving size of the plates are huge in proportion to how much you're paying. For around 16 dollars, you can get a REALLY huge breakfast sandwich that is extremely filling.
A very underrated dish they serve is the stuffed French toast, where they put peanut butter and jelly inside the toast and they deep fry it.

First, the food tasted ok, we got burgers to go. But, it's DIRTY. Dust is everywhere, all over the gross things that have been hanging on the walls for who knows how many years. The floor was worn out and filthy. As soon as you walk in the smell of grease and smoke overwhelms, old faded news papers and grubby flyers lying around, tables crammed together. I have a hard time trusting the kitchen sanitation based on what we encountered starting from the uninviting outside gas station exterior.
**UPDATE. We look forward to trying Steve's again soon, and will hopefully rate with more stars!

I just spent $40 for two burgers and asked for ranch for my French fries and they wanted to charge me I can't believe you can't get ketchup or ranch with your French fries after they charge you $20 for a freaking hamburger

🍔We love this place but since mom moved away from Mariposa we haven't been here. Had a baseball tournament last two nights down the road and they took care of our dinner, burgers and fish & chips🍤. Super delicious along with excellent, friendly, caring, service. Thank you!💙

My husband and I go to breakfast here at least a couple of times every week. The staff is very friendly and make us feel like part of their family . They have a great breakfast. We always enjoy getting out from our business, also a restaurant of sorts . We have a small bar and Grill. So we do judge other Resturant’s. We check not only the quality of the food and service, but also the cleanliness of the establishment . I give Steve 5stars !

Excellent food and service. The servings are filling. First found this place two weeks ago on my way to Bass Lake. Had to go to Mariposa today, so stopped in for lunch again. It's a little hole-in-the-wall cafe right off of Hwy 49 with the Valero gas station.

This place was awesome! Stopped there on my way back to Los Angeles after a very bad weekend in Yosemite and this was the best party if the whole trip. Service was quick, friendly and accommodative. The food was spectacular. Get the Oakie Benedict! It was the best thing I've treated in quite some time. Prices were great, as well. I'll definitely be back!

I love this place Great service and the owner is a kick in the pants. We all just love him. Thank you to the staff and Steve for making this a great place to eat
