From the business
"Great Bear has been roasting small batch, artisanal coffee onsite in our Los Gatos café since 1991. Founded by the Van Epps family and purchased by longtime community member Abdy Mirzadegan in November 2022, Great Bear is focused on its coffee’s freshness and quality. The very first roaster at the Great Bear was trained by Alfred Peet — yes, that Mr. Peet — and over the years we’ve developed our own unrivaled roasts. Our beans grind up to produce a beautifully full, luscious cup of coffee. We start with some of the best green beans and offer a limited selection of roasts, blends, and varietals to ensure the freshness that makes Indoor and Outdoor seating with WiFi. Vegan, Vegetarian, and Wheat Free options. Friendly and welcoming staff."

Cute little coffee shop that has everything you want from a coffee shop. I enjoyed my coffee and banana bread inside next to a sunlit window.

Warm friendly but no place to seat outside no place to put your dig or baby stroller. Bathrooms are one and tiny.the drip Coffee is just okay.

Good coffee variety & quality , cosy vibe but worst croissant in town. Consider changing your supplier.

Small and cozy coffee house, very trendy, they sell coffee beans whole or ground, excellent coffee drinks. Local artisan snacks, everything from decadent pastries to excellent quiche. Baristas are very cool and knowledgeable, very hip. Free wifi, and alot of powerful people making deals. Good productive energy.

Customer service is a foreign concept to the blond behind the counter. It appears she is in charge of things, so even more disappointing if a manager/owner acts this way. More or less told me she didn't care if I ever came back. I will oblige. The coffee good, but nothing you can't get anywhere else.

Coffee was ok. My request for extra hot drink was acknowledged, but ignored. The also charge $4 for a cookie 🍪.

The coffee was great. The environment feel cozy. Great location. I got Triples C and it was so good. It taste like chocolate milk shake with hints of coffee in it.

Pretty good coffee! I got the pancake latte (I think it was called), it's really tasty, came at a perfect temperature and the staff was really friendly

Nope, a great coffee shop this is not. A tourist attraction indeed it is. I didn’t know it was possible to make a cappuccino worse than Starbucks, but I’ve been proven wrong. Over roasted beans and poorly trained baristas.

Really cool place to hang out, grab coffee, and just chat. I had the hot cider and enjoyed it immensely.
