"Great Bear has been roasting small batch, artisanal coffee onsite in our Los Gatos café since 1991. Founded by the Van Epps family and purchased by longtime community member Abdy Mirzadegan in November 2022, Great Bear is focused on its coffee’s freshness and quality. The very first roaster at the Great Bear was trained by Alfred Peet — yes, that Mr. Peet — and over the years we’ve developed our own unrivaled roasts. Our beans grind up to produce a beautifully full, luscious cup of coffee. We start with some of the best green beans and offer a limited selection of roasts, blends, and varietals to ensure the freshness that makes Indoor and Outdoor seating with WiFi. Reasonable prices for coffee that tastes great.
Wonderful staff that is there to please. Plenty of parking out back with a rear entrance. Never swamped and WiFi to boot. Check it out, since there are a ton of other places that feature coffee

So, after reading the reviews, I tried their chocolate coffee cream...and wow it's as amazing as people say. It's fairly large, so make sure to bring a friend. I particularly liked that they made their own whipped cream which added to the deliciousness.
Would definitely go here again.

Coffee is good - but I like the atmosphere. Just the right balance of hubbub and tranquility. Los Gatos Coffee Roasters is pretty chaotic. Sometimes I like Loma since it is quiet and the coffee is also good. Food selection is small - but always fresh.

Stopped by while on a long bike ride. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, plenty of seating, and the trail bar I had was amazing. Better espresso then Big Coffee places, but have had better espresso.

they make specialized coffee and they have a wonderful chai tea. The whipped cream that they put on your coffee or chai tea is absolutely amazing! It's a secret recipe they say. LOL everybody in there are always in a good mood and laughing there's plenty of places to sit on your computer and their Wi-Fi password is on a sign on the counter. I am from Florida and I have not been to a coffee shop as nice as this one. The young lady behind the counter and the young gentleman that waited on us were very kind and helpful well. Thank you Great Bear coffee for an amazing day in Los Gatos

It was very crowded on labour day, no seating available inside and the tables outside were not laid out with chairs. Coffee and quiche were good but the seating experience was very poor.

I have literally been coming here for 25 years and still the same friendly service and quality food. Try the various quiches for a tasty and healthy breakfast on your way from Santa Cruz to your possibly, soul-numbing job in San Jose. Lot's of interesting folks and a warm cozy environment to steel yourself for the coming day.

Had a white mocha with cinnamon as well as the artichoke quiche. The quiche crust was chewy since it was heated in the microwave but still good. The white mocha had a good flavor to it.
