This place is still very popular with long waits even after they raised their prices. Food is still good especially the avocado sandwich and snake dog but a bit pricey. Not sure if it was just a one time thing but the last time I went I was almost overcharged by $7 and then they forgot to give me the snake dog. So be careful since they take your order manually.

The Trails is always pleasant. Great food, decent coffee (Stumptown), and a killer location. Lots of park surrounding the spot so it’s a great place to walk around and enjoy a coffee, read, etc.

Tasty food, charming setting and friendly service. The only downside is that the food is a little pricey.

Fern Dell hiking trail is indeed a gem in this City of Angels. It is a sylvan retreat amongst the noise and traffic of a big city such as Los Angeles. It is worth seeing and walking this trail at least once.

My fiancé brought me here on a sweet lunch date. We brought our dog Nino with us and they offered him water and a treat which was wonderful. The cafe/eatery is sandwiched (no pun intended) in the hills of Griffith Park and it's very pleasant and charming. Cute outdoor camp style benches and tables, and bistro lighting.

I guess you could say the place is vegetarian because I could not find any meat items on the small menu. I had the egg salad sandwich, my fiancé had the avocado sandwich. We shared chips. It was simple clean eating and tasty. I added a pinch of salt to my sandwich..but overall they were decent. The place also offers scones, cookies, pie, and other yummy treats but I was watching my calories that day lol. Next time tho!

We went for a walk thru the park afterwards and it was nice. I think we were hungry 2 hours later tho lol. Stars for scenic vibes and an opportunity for ppl to eat something somewhat substantial while they are wandering in the wilderness. Just don't come here thinking you are going to have a feast.

Very tranquil cafe immersed in the nature of Griffith Park. Nice selection of pastries and speciality teas - my personal favorite is the lavender shortbread. Abundant seating and nature for gatherings, hikes, or meditation

Coffee and pastries with an outdoorsy feel. Outdoor seating under oak trees. It's a great place to visit in the morning. Don't forget bug spray during the summer.

Great place, quiche was excellent. Nice selection of drinks, limited food menu. Nice way to take a break while visiting Griffith park and the fern dell.

Visited before the pandemic.
Great coffee, great food, great people, great seating. It can get busy. So nice to be outdoors with something tasty.

The food is mediocre, but it's nice to have a place to stop with friends after a hike, etc. They don't seem to have an oven, or any real kitchen supplies (I heard another customer ask if they could cut up whatever they had ordered, and the person working the window responded, "I don't have a knife.")... so, go with low expectations and hope for the best. (The puff-pastry hot dog was pretty bad.)
