I was brought here by a friend, I'll never go back. The food was overpriced and horrible. I understand that if your out and about in Griffith Park its a nice little stop, but don't go out of your way to go there. And the line took about 30 mins to move up, not exaggerating.

I was excited to try the lemon pie, it looked really good, I took one bite and gave it to my friends. Who puts actual lemon rind in the pie? The grilled cheese was so underwhelming, it was just 2 pieces of bread with a slice of cheese, my girlfriends looked like it had more cheese, so maybe it was an off sandwhich. But that's not what I would expect for a $6 grilled cheese. At least put enough cheese that it spills out a little. The hot chocolate was ok. The hotdog wasn't bad. My girlfriend said her egg salad sandwich was good. Just what was listed here was $46.

I pride myself on my reviews, I don't sugarcoat things and I don't embellish, so if i put one star, that says something.

So hlad this little gem is open during Carona. Love their food. It's a quaint little test stop while hiking the area. Don't forget to make your way to Fern Dell while you're there.

I really enjoyed the gluten-free cookie! It would be better if they had it separate from the other items so it would not make me sick because of cross contamination. I have learned from experience to eat the middle and give the rest to my husband, not that that works every time. 🤔 I love the vibe and location... I would live there if I could!

Reward yourself after a long hike with an ice tea, lemonade, or dirty chai with in house made almond milk... and if you want to be extra naughty try the lavender shortbread cookies!! There are plenty of food, and drink options though at this charming coffee stand in the woods. Plenty of seating as well. Dogs welcome!

Their food and drinks are good. I stopped when I meant to just go for a hike, and only had an emergency $20 in my phone case I didn’t want to break, and no pockets to put my change in. I asked if I could use Apple Pay, which she said they didn’t have, which is fine.
But then within earshot she complained to the other guy working there about “why do all these people keep asking about Apple Pay, are people just lazy or what, etc etc”
Kind of daft to be running a business in a hiking area where people may not be carrying cash all the time, or might stop by on a whim, and wonder why they’d want to pay with their phone.
PS don’t call your customers lazy when they can hear you

Lovely #dogfriendly out door cafe. Loved the handmade peanut butter and jelly sandwich, artichoke quiche and lavender shortbread! So lovely and shaded.

But seriously the peanut butter is housemade, and it literally blew my mind. Get the PB&j . It redefined the classic for me.

The muffins and coffee here are amazing. You can get discounted muffins from the previous day which I recommend as most things here are overpriced. On weekdays it's really chill, but beware on weekends every parent in the area brings their kids here to play in the sand next to it.

Incredible baked goods that are made on site. The Meyer Lemon pie is a full crust with a chunky lemon filling. The $6.50 slice is generous with a very large crust that rises straight up about an inch. We also tried the lavender shortbread cookie. Also would good. I would definitely come back just for the pie. They serve Stumptown coffee which is just ok. You order at the counter, which can be a little slow. Lots of picnic tables in the tree.

Awesome spot. Super pretty. Great pie and ice teas. The strawberry lemonade was amazing too. Not too sweet just right. Perfect place to enjoy a beverage while being outside

Came here after hiking and discovered this little cafe/restaurant. Apparently many people come up here just for the food as well. Pet friendly, a little hut off the street up to Griffith. The line and wait time can get pretty long. They have plenty of picnic tables to sit at.

Quiche - never been a big fan of quiche but this was very very tasty
Strawberry rhubarb pie - didn't know what rhubarb was exactly but it def enhanced the flavor by adding a bit of texture to the pie, really enjoyed it.
Avocado Sandwich - I wasn't a fan of the sprouts so i'd prob try something else next time but it didn't bother me as much because there were SO much avocado. Very flavorful

I would come back again to try the other stuff.
