Beautiful place, good food but the wait time is VERY LONG no matter how many ppl is in front of you or what you order. Go there only if you have PLENTY of time. Very slow service and it’s been like that for years

Our visit to this awesome with my wife was super cool, her friend reccomend this place which is near the observatory , parking along the street , there are benches to chill with nature, very friendly staff, we got some coffee, eggs in the basket somethng like that, and something like a tart with cheese peppers i dont really remember but the food is amazing we will definetely have to go for more, we highly reccomend this shop.

At the moment they don't allow seating, even though it's outdoors. So that's a bummer. Also they killed my favorite ham quiche :( but the spinach quiche was quite tasty. Chocolate scones are the real stand out dessert.

They do not provide a itemized list of your purchase leaving you to presume the person taking your order has keyed in the items correctly and that you're being charged correctly. I've always been provided an itemized bil at every other retail establishmentl, and I've found that clerks have made mistakes in the past keying in purchases that shoukd not have been included. And since this is the very 1st time this has happened, I have to believe there must be a city or other legal requirement to provide a customer an itemized bill showing what the customer is paying for. The itemized bill should NOT remain exclusively in the hands of the seller as they have a vested interest in opposition to the buyer.
If that is indeed a requirement, then this establishment is in violation. If this is not currently a requirement, it should be, even if only displayed electronically and wuth the customer then giving assent to the charge.
I hope management will respond to this review, if not, I intend to take this up with whichever city department is in charge.

Great food! Small but devoted menu. Great area for a short hike and hanging out in the nature esp with kids. Coffee and sweets are excellent. Better baristas than you might expect at a food spot 👍😉.
Parking is tight in this part of the park with trailheads and a playground nearby, but there are a couple lots and it usually doesn't take long to find a spot.
The line to order moves really slow, but from ordering to picking up your food, the wait isn't long.

I live this place. The food is good, but a bit unique. I liked the chocolate chip lavender scone.
The place makes me feel like I’m up at some ranger station far out of the city, while being right in the middle of everything. No indoor seating. Only picnics tables, and the line is pretty long. I usually go really early on a Sunday to avoid the long line and enjoy it while it’s a bit less crowded. Great for kid and dogs.

A fun cafe in the park, lots of outdoor seating. The frittata is really excellent. Parking can be a chore at times, but that is LA.

It's impossible for me to hike the observatory without hitting this place first. Great coffee, tasty unique pastries and always friendly service. Its a great spot for a first date too if a hike is involved or just to meet someone and hang outside.

The girl who took my order today was completely rude. I placed a order of food for me, my daughter and my friend. I asked for 2 cookies and only received one. I nicely asked her for the second cookie and she tells me she didn’t ring up 2 cookies and I would need to pay for the second one which is fine. (I never received a receipt for my order btw) So I pay for the cookie and when I got the food a sandwich we ordered was not there. She then throws her arms up in the air, says she’s had it with me and rudely placed the sandwich in front of me. I didn’t do anything to make her feel the need to be hateful to me. I will never eat at the place again due to her attitude. Learn customer service girl and try to be happy.
