Mocha was nice, pastry was tasty, but any place that charges almost 5 dollars for a small warm milk (for a toddler) isn't worth going to very often for me.

Lo/cal is a lovely little coffee shop near the Brea Tar Pits (like maybe 10 minutes walking). The coffee and tea options were delish, and the staff was super friendly. I’d come again for sure.

The turkey melt here is perfection (chef kiss). They are pet friendly so you can bring your dog :)

I’ve been looking for an alternative coffee spot i can go to when my-go-to (Erewhon) place is too busy or too slow. I’ve now stopped by this place three times and here is my honest takeaway: nice (service) girls, cute place, scalding/expensive lattes and not one good pastry choice. Quite disappointing. If you’re going to be in the coffee business and can’t even make a drink, you probably should consider the nursery side of the business and stick to selling plants. I spend more money here than I do at Erewhon. Doesn’t make any sense.

$8.00 for a small cup of coffee. Service was great. It’s quaint and was quiet. Some people were there working and there is a small outside patio with no privacy and pretty exposed to the street. They sell pet stuff, plants, and little trinkets.

Cute place, lots of plants, and great coffee/food. The lavender latte and PCH sandwich are really good!

Food and coffee was yummy (got 2 breakfast sandwiches and 2 lattes), but service was….ok. Both me and my friend have dietary restrictions that were met but we were made to feel like an inconvenience. Also the upcharge that came with those dietary restrictions had us spending nearly $70 (because of course I left a good tip). Honestly wouldn’t come back, but it was nice to have it just the once.

Best coffee shop in LA. The quality of food/coffee is unbeatable, the environment is full of natural light, plants, and a variety of seating options, but what really takes the cake is the staff - have never experienced a more welcoming coffee shop experience. love this place always !
