A cute place to come and sit to either study or work with open space and decent decorations. They have inside and outside seating areas. There is parking such as meters, streets, and parking slots close by.
However, the coffee and the foods are below the average with the prices that don't match.
Customer service is careless and not welcoming.
Not return.

Ok, so I have to say this… I’ve been a longtime customer of BSL and overall, my experience has been great! However - the South La Brea location has really started to drop the ball of late. The past 3 orders that I’ve placed have been disappointing to say the least. Perhaps new management? If so, they’re gonna start losing customers if they don’t step up.
Today I ordered a protein bowl which usually has a fairly generous helping of salmon and a soft poached egg. Well I got what seems to be less than a quarter of a piece of smoked salmon (less than I’d feed to a baby) and a hard poached egg.
Please rectify!!

Ordered the Breakfast Bowl, avocado toast, and latte. They were all good. I was definitely excited on the latte as I really enjoyed Australian coffee. I could say it is pretty close to what I had in Melbourne. Store is taking COVID-19 precautions seriously. You can order ahead for pick-up or dine outside. Will surely go back and try other food.

Would not recommend as an Australian. Poor service- left my drink sitting on the counter for 10 minutes, got my order incorrect and rectified mistake w no apology, didn’t have poached eggs for some reason yet sheepishly offered me scrambled instead?? Also default option kiosk was take out even though I was trying to eat in which I did not realise until after I received my incorrect order

Ive been coming here for a few years now. Honestly this time I was very disappointed not only in service, but by the food too. It started off with the cashier being rude to me for not having a mask. Even when he gave me my coffee the guy was just un pleasent. I has asked for 2 eggs on my salad only got one. If your here for coffee good idea, but nothing else! Definitely if I could give a 0 a would!

Worst service — the girl at the counter acted as she was doing us a favor. I asked her 3 time to heat up my croissant and she just left it on the counter. Few minutes later I came to the counter and asked her again — unwillingly she put it in the oven for like 2 seconds and served it as before.
“All day” menu was not available with no explanation.

Love their coffee. No joke. This was my first time trying out this coffee shop since I was around the area but the barista that took my order was not that friendly and was in a hurry to take my order.

Like the little box that the food comes in. But as for the avocado toast, it was the first time I had avocado toast on bread that was NOT toasted. It was a thick slice of cold bread with toppings.

Amazingly slow service, no prioritizing nor optimizing activities behind the counter. The kiosk makes the transaction as welcoming as a McDonald's.

I was invited by a co-worker, she had just come back for. Melbourne, and heard a Melbourne influenced coffee concept was in Los Angeles and close to work, so we popped over for breakie. Avocado toast with granola, a single shot, a flat white, and a trio of iced bevies. Everything was great... The design really highlights a modern beachy vibe, and plays well to the neighborhood, it's done very well. If you're looking for a Sr. Store Designer holler atcha baller!
