Basil & Cheese Cafe

Highly highly recommend. The dining environment is comfortable. I ordered ABC bagel, it was impressive. The bagel was crunchy outside but soft inside. Out of my expectation, the price was not expensive. They use togo box for their dishes so it's also easy to bring with you. I will revisit if I have a chance.

Basil & Cheese Cafe was SO delicious!! We were staying nearby at an AirBnB and wanted to find a coffee spot that we could walk to - I saw that this cafe was nearby, so we gave it a shot... and I am SO glad we did! The oat milk latte was creamy and delicious, the turkey/bagel breakfast sandwich was incredible, and the almond butter toast was the PERFECT treat! I'd definitely recommend and would definitely go back!

Easily some of the best breakfast/brunch food I've had in all of LA. I've been to all the fancy popular places all over the city but the quality of food and price of this place does not compare. The service is lovely, the vibes of the place were so warm and welcoming, and they have the best selection of food and drinks. Everything was so well portioned for the price, but more importantly, the taste exceeded any and all expectations. Everything was so well seasoned but not heavy at all. Easy on the stomach but so filling and so delicious. The coffee was also superb, and the chai tea latte and matcha latte were perfectly sweet and had the most amazing depth of flavour. I wasn't able to snap a picture of their vast pastry menu, but everything I dried was mouthwateringly good. I had the almond croissant, maple scone, and one of their muffins. They have a great vegan and gluten free menu as well. I'm easily going to become a regular here!

Cute Korean-owned cafe in historic core of DTLA! They offer specialty coffee, bakery goods, as well as made to order meals (added photos of current menus). I have visited several times now - definitely a new favorite neighborhood spot. Their ice lattes are amazing! Staff is friendly. Owners have been so kind and welcoming every time we’ve seen them.

The business is named after the owner’s dog, Basil. Basil is a big fan of cheese!

Fantastic cafe. Beautiful interior, healthy, high-quality, superb food + excellent specialty coffee. Menu selection is extensive. Korean-owned, incredibly friendly and a lovely place to be at! Lunch special includes a Korean-Californian kitchen mix dish "Korean BBQ Beef bowl", it's so good. The pastry selection is impressive and super fresh every day.

Great breakfast and pastries place. I had the ham and cheese in the regular croissant. It was very flaky and buttery. Definitely suggest giving that one a try. Serg had the chorizo breakfast burrito. Being him mom makes the best chorizo , he is a critic in this department. He said we will be back so that tells me it was good. Always love to support our downtown small business. If you are wanting some great pastries, breakfast or lunch go give them a try. Let me know if you liked it.

Excellent cafe! I had the mushroom spinach avocado breakfast wrap 3 times while I was staying downtown. The salsa it comes with was so flavourful also. The Americano coffee was delicious too, I drank it black and it was sublime. So so good. Great wifi and atmosphere, open early.

Decent. Wasn’t a huge fan of the bagel sandwich, bagel was very bready and the eggs were over cooked imo. Cute little shop though, and I would come back to try their other offerings.

Delicious omelet, tater tots and Americano! A bit pricey for breakfast $37, but yummy!
