I had visited this Alchemist Coffee Project location a couple of times and the experiences were a bit different. The first time I got a delicious and beautiful cappuccino, and the second time a Duo Latte (latte + milk tea) that is syrupy in flavor and sloppy in presentation. Neither of the times the service was very warm.
The store is decorated in a weird, old-fashioned style with dated artifacts to reflect an alchemist's work. It simply doesn't work as a coffee shop. I think the Pearl shop has a much better vibe. With so many coffee shops in Koreatown, I don't feel looking forward to going back to this Alchemist location soon.

Great brew, good music & dope staff. I recommend the strawberry croissant! Egg Bat sandwich was delicious. Duo latte definitely packed a punch 🤜🏾

Really enjoyed discovering Alchemist while visiting LA recently. We came in to have breakfast and ordered 2 oat milk lattes, the Avocado Truffle Toast (which was absolutely unreal in every way because of the truffle salt mixed into the avocado), and a perfectly fried egg on the side. Everything was top notch and I can't wait to come back. Love finding a great coffeeshop!

If you’re getting a specialty drink it’s a great value, their chai latte is bomb. Drip coffee and pour over is a very bad value and I’d go somewhere else. Parking is extremely bad. The staff is hit or miss. Good bathroom but there’s only one. The restaurant is kept pretty clean and stocked. It has great charm and it’s cute, if you come at peak time you won’t be getting a seat, lots of students camped out for the day.

Excellent hot americano in a pre-heated cup. The truffle avocado toast was excellent and very flavorful, on fresh toasted bread. The service was pretty quick and very friendly. The breakfast sandwich was really tasty, too. And, they have a really awesome pastry section. Parking is a little tough but they have valet. I’d definitely go back. I want to try the kimchi avocado toast!

The staff behind the counter was so nice and helpful - that can really make or break a coffee shop. I had an iced espresso with oat milk and it was good but nothing special. Onyx coffee is always a winner. The chocolate croissant was very fresh and toasty. The bakery items were all labeled with veg/vegan options. Parking was a bit annoying but that's LA, isn't it?

Great coffee spot in K-town to hang out. If you like matcha, I recommend their Lavender Matcha Latte. So good! Great customer service and vibes all around. Definitely check this place out!

Food and service was okay. The stars is for the theme. They were out of a lot of things. I think the recommended drinks were over hyped and that made me set my expectations too high.

Came here for coffee pit stop. Small shop, limited seating area. I only got the whale bird kombucha which was tasty but it was in a can so not hard on their end. Friends got the tiramisu coffee which was good!

Great coffee, atmosphere and even better staff. They are passionate about coffee and will take the time to explain how to get the best quality brew at home.
