One of my go to coffee shops in the area. They have a solid coffee and breakfast menu and ample space to hang out or work. The music is a bit on the louder side so remote workers take note or bring headphones. Their chilaquiles burrito is my favorite. If you don't like sunny side up eggs, be sure to communicate how you like your eggs cooked for the breakfast options. Their sunny side up cooking tends to not have the egg whites fully set.
My first visit was a great experience. A hidden Gem absolutely recommend to stop by and try the excellent coffee! A fabulous addition to the Long Beach Community.
It's just OK. Staff was nice, but flimsy plastic ikea chairs and desks for sitting at a full price coffee shop / wine bar??? C'mon!! Also the coffee drinks only come in 1 really small size. Prices are the same as most trendy coffee shops. The disco ball is a cute touch, the music is what you'd expect for a trendy coffee house. They have wifi which is nice. It's clean. The guy at the counter did not turn the tablet around for us to put in a tip, which I appreciate because I think drinks/food should be priced to provide employees with a living wage.
I really like their food and drinks, breakfast burrito is bomb, and they have the best match I’ve ever had. I’ve came here twice this week during their posted hours and the door has been locked, bummed bc I was looking forward to the great food.
SALA is unmatched when it comes to quality and hospitality! The owners make you feel at home and put love into every single coffee and glass of wine. They were just what Bixby Knolls needed.
I’m really looking forward to try them out again in the day time. Their menu looks great and so does the natural wine list. But I went in the evening and it was quite intentionally low lit with very sleep music vibes and felt a little uninspiring for an evening out tbh. Had to use the phone flashlight to see menu and I thought they were closed for a min.
Sala has been a great addition to the Bixby Knolls area. I have dined in for both lunch and dinner. For lunch they have a nice selection of sandwiches and dinner varies since they sometimes have pop-ups. I’ve only made it to one pop-up, but they always sound delicious. Last weekend I picked up their breakfast burritos which they offer from Thurs-Sun. The breakfast burritos are massive and I was full most of the day. I love that they have big chunks of potatoes. It was well balanced between the eggs, soyrizo, potatoes, and beans. They also have a natural wine case that you can buy from and take home. And don’t forget about their excellent coffee bar.
If you love Starbucks, then this is not the place for you! Great coffee, natural wine, & atmosphere. Perfect vibe for a date or get together with friends. The disco ball is a nice touch.

Coffee was good. Barista was nice, they have breakfast burritos. It is also a wine bar. There is a dj, plenty of parking around.
