The food here is always so good, and the prices are awesome for what you get. I would caution that they can be very slow some days when they have a large crowd, so some days are a wait. Otherwise, they are awesome.

Just a random road trip with my wife and ran into this Cafe! Ms. Vicki was the greatest hands down best service we've ever experienced! Great service, AMAZING FOOD !!

The new remodel looks great. I do miss the old small town diner feel but it's very modern and beautifully done now. I can't wait for the dinner side to be open.

Me and my fiancé had dinner the night before last and it was great. My chipotle turkey panini was to die for with slabs of avocado and a nice slice of turkey, I could only eat half. My fiancé got fish and chips that he had been craving. He’s very picky about seafood and he enjoyed his fish, it was nice and flaky and not too fishy. The waitress explained what it was battered in, which he appreciated. For desert he got the deep fried cheesecake sundae (amazing) and I got a hot chocolate. All for around $35. Service, on top of everything else, was helpful and very efficient.
EDIT:Dick Weeds Bar and grill right next door did not disappoint, ice cold draft beer with perfectly cooked rib eye and jumbo shrimp with sweet green beans and bacon and baked red potatoes...I was not dissapointed. My fiancé again got fish and chips with jumbo shrimp because he loved it so much last time.

This place is short handed.. took forever for a waitress to come take our order. And i wanted a mushroom and swiss omelette and wanted to add steak to it and the waitress gave me the most horrible look ever like i had just asked her to do something horrendous.. i was completely unnecessary and rude.. her name was denna. Not happy with the service. I definitely wont be back. P.s. the food was cold and not great!!!

If vegetarian they offer the BEYOND BURGER! For just a dollar more on any of their burgers. Great quality and portions. I dare to say my favorite restaurant in all of southern California happens to be in the little town of Lake Isabella

It would be nice to know when you’re open without driving off this mountain only to see a closed sign....again... A simple outgoing message on your phone answering machine saying these are hours and we will or will not be open on this holiday. 60% of the businesses in this valley open when it’s cinv for THEMSELVES. Business is geared towards tourism closed on weekends… Businesses geared toward locals closed during the week… And that’s why 60% of the businesses in this valley… Our no more… at the very least, state your hours including holidays an honor those hours regardless of weather you feel it’s Not worth it to stay open on that day… Because next week on that day you can be guaranteed no business will show up. … All dressed up with no place to go…
Especially since you’ve only recently reopened and nothing about your place is what you claimed it would be when you closed for remodel. That’s a lot of money to spend only to have the same “so-so” business...
I’ll give you one star because the one time I did find you open I had the same frozen meat dinner you’ve always served there’. Not the steakhouse dinner I was promised… also because I can never determine whether or not you’re open.
Happy Thanksgiving!
