Hilmar Cheese Company Visitor Center

Great for kids to learn about how cheese and milk is made. They also have wine and coffee.

It was a cheesy evening. Bought different kinds of cheese. Tried their cheese sandwiches with cheesy brownie. It was good. They arrange tours everyday.

Took my little girl in one of her friends to hilmar cheese company today and had a phenomenal time. It was an awesome way to spend the day and the girls loved it. If you do nothing else there get the bacon barbecue club, good Lord sweet baby Jesus that sandwich is good!

We were a little confused on how to order our lunch as most people were in line to purchase cheese and gifts. But the sandwiches were really good and filling. Gift shop and cheese processing displays are interesting. Overall a good visit.

We made cheese and got great ice cream

The quality and variety of cheeses are phenomenal but the kitchen and the visitor center is not good at all. The overly sweet honey chicken pizza on microwave bread is really bad. You need to hire a professional to redo your menu. You have lots of potential, lots of resources, and lots of fresh farms of everything near by. Very disappointed.

Nicely arranged company store/gift shop. Our group was given a tour of the plant while riding our bus and treated to an excellent buffet lunch with an amazing cheese soup and delicious ice cream (and brownies)!

I’ve toured other cheese factory’s like Tillamook in Oregon but this place is a joke if you think you are touring a place that makes a product.
The self guided tour never goes near the factory. The gift shop, which you never leave, is as cheesy as a Disneyland gift shop. Go upstairs and it gets worse. All you can see is an empty room with a couple dirty windows that look down on nothing and explains less. The room also had PC monitors that were suppose to explain things, but none were functioning.
In the gift shop they had a film to watch but I’m sure only adolescence would find this interesting, all cartoon animation. Very disappointed by the worlds largest cheese manufacturer!

The onsite scale is only used to give your gross weight. Outside the plant there is a small area to park maybe 4 trucks under ideal conditions. Guard house was very helpful.

Their cheese cake is delicious. Very welcoming environment and staff is very friendly and helpful. I love their waterfall they have outside, it's great for pictures
