Awesome place. Great coffee, great ambiance, great staff. Freshly roasted beans. Don't need to suffer the over roasted bitter coffee at Starbucks and Peet's anymore. Coffee in a mug, and they take the trouble to warm the mug up too! No more paper wax taste in the coffee! I almost don't want to post, and instead keep this place a secret.

And, oh, they often have Mysore beans!

Went there first time to get some baked goods for my work place. I was probably the second customer there and ordered 6 things in total, 2 blueberry danishes, 2 apple danishes, 1 strawberry danish and one banana muffin. The girl who was helping me wasn’t too welcoming and seemed worried when one bag got filled and I politely asked if I can get a box so everything can get fit in smoothly. She went in the back room and a lady with purple hair came out and rudely said “next time, if you want to order a lot of things then do a special order, so others can have those goods”. I apologized twice and I totally understood how as a business I would want all customers to try the food. However, I do have few things to say.

First, it was my first time at your business and being from customer service field myself, this situation could have been handled politely by smiling, thanking for business, and apologizing for what you are about to say. “Thank you for you business, at this cafe we do special orders if orders are larger than normal. Sorry we don’t want to be rude, but just wanted to let you know”.

Secondly, it is a renowned and big cafe, how can taking 2 danishes of two types each cost your business so much that other customers won’t get to enjoy? Do you guys only cook 2 of each?

Thirdly, no matter what, I made you a sale, also gave a tip for taking the opportunity away from others to buy your food.

Lastly, if the girl in front knew what I was doing was that wrong according to her manager, then why that girl in front didn’t inform me? She could’ve said something rather than going to her manager and I would’ve chosen 1 of each pastries if needed be. Speak up!!

I have served customers and know ins and outs of customer service and never left a bad review for any business, but this experience left me sad for 2 hours even at work. If there was a nearby cafe, I would’ve left baked goods there and went elsewhere.

Whenever I'm back in Fremont I have 2 stop @ get the best banana muffins around.

Always serve great coffee. Crowed in early morning is also very good. You will definitely like them.

Great staff and service, nice selection of drinks and some food. Patio and indoor seating area has lots of space.

Patio in the front and back! Very pleasant. Clean bathroom. Large indoor seating bug dining tables and small bar style tables too. Large menu.

I have some mixed opinions about "Fremont's Living Room." Lets begin with the good news. I really enjoy the seating areas, especially their back patio. It has charming decorations and is a very convenient place to work and hang out with friends as it is some what more secluded and less crowded than other places in the area. Since it was outdoors COVID was less of a concern in the patio. In my opinion the food sold at the caffe is not very customizable and does not meet the expectations that come with the price. If you want something, it has to be exactly how it is on the menu. I asked for a little customization on my drink several times, and the workers seemed to be quite unnecessarily flustered. Other than that, my experience with the caffe is positive!

Friendly place which seems to be a big hit with the locals. I had their cappuccino with a breakfast sandwich. Ended up coming here twice during my stay in the area
