MoonGoat not only roasts their own coffee but uses the husk of the coffee seed cherries known as cascara. The coffee and barista service is excellent, there are drink choices and food for everyone, they make the syrups, milks, a selection of pastries and bread in-house.

lavender Latte is great! No funky aftertaste that can sometimes happen with the lavender simple syrups used. They have an everything croissant... SUPER good. Even tho it was literally a croissant with "everything seasoning" the croissant was so perfectly flaky and buttery that the seasoning made it taste almost like there was more in it.
Nice vibe, inside and outside area. Total 00's hipster place re-newed! Coffee is good, not as strong of a distinctive roast that you may get with other roasters like Portola Coffee (which is AWESOME). But, still very good!

Wonderful spot! Been waiting to come here for ages and it really didn’t disappoint

My first visit to Moongoat was a very pleasant surprise. The coffee was amazing, myself and several others went back to ask what the “house” coffee was that they were using as the base for lattes etc.
There was a guy with three turntables playing music. Just very nice background stuff, you could still have a conversation which is why we came, coffee & conversation.
We came for a late night coffee and left with two bags of fresh beans. Moongoat is worth a visit. They take the coffee seriously and have created a location worthy of spending some time.

Top notch coffee house. Way better than the drive-through chains. Roast their own coffee. Huge place. Friday open mic nights. Try the homemade biscuits w/ butter and jam.

Super good cold brew. I've heard good things about their brunch on Sundays, but it always looks SUPER packed!

I bought an iced matcha latter it was alright! I asked for sugar in the raw and it was completely bland. No sweetener what do ever. Second time it happens. They have high quality matcha which is good but I just can’t have. It without any sweetener.

Redifining the coffeeshop culture and bringing us back to the Bohemian days of 19th century Parisian coffeeshop culture as a venue of community building and exchange of ideas. Moongoat builds community not only in the Costa Mesa area but also with the coffee farmers it works with. Also, it features many programs to educate and enrich the public to the world of coffee.
