La Costa Coffee Roasting

Wow! Great for having coffee and for coffee beans for home...and for learning about coffee. Nicest staff ever and they had a live jazz band! Will definitely be returning and supporting this wonderful establishment.

The smell of raw coffee beans roasting while conducting a relaxed meeting in a spacious outdoor patio with a fresh cup for $1.25 tells part of the experience. Doug (owner) controls the coffee quality from the fields to your cup all in house. Great coffee and ambiance.

Like the location and staff BUT it's kinda a homeless hangout. Just inside on right are 4 barstools. Each day are the same unbathen tobacco reeking guys complete with their life belongings in various bags and suitcases stuffed under bartop. Often they are asleep with heads on countertop.

They obviously live outdoors. While I am sympathetic to those less fortunate. The owner puts his patrons at risk by allowing this daily inside the coffeehouse.

The bad smell of these guys at times, overpowers the coffee which, is really good.

I worry about diseases and critters these guys carry due to their homeless plight.

This place is a dirty mess! Tables, counters, floor. Furniture is worn and torn.
Customer service inconsistent with some very poorly trained staff.

What is up with creepy smelly homeless guys sleeping on barstools? Same ones everytime I come in. Oh the coffee is first class but the experience is not!

This is by far the best coffee shop I have ever been to staff is fantastic area Is clean and outside seating and just a great atmosphere highly recommend going out of your way to try this amazing coffee shop.

For over 30 years I've purchased the best coffee from this great private homegrown coffee house. I'd never go to Starbucks in Vons. That was a cheap move to hurt a local business. Buy local.

Such great fresh coffee, one of the best local roasting places in north county San Diego area. Their chocolate coffee is so tasty, and I'm not even a huge "flavored" coffee person- I usually go black.

Eh, not the best espresso to be honest. Way too hot, wasn’t dialed in… felt similar to a Peets or Starbucks. Wouldn’t go again…

The best coffee for taste flavor and effect because I always go for the effect but then flavor kicks in and it's all over you hooked gotta go get this coffee

Great coffee and tea, but best idea is to buy freshly roasted beans for your own Aeropress or pour over coffee system. They have a nice variety of beans from all over the world with a variety of roasts to choose from
