Best pit beef and I love the mac salad. The food overall is always good and I can never say enough about the chocolate cake, lemon cake and the O 8ter cookies. Great place to enjoy lunch or dinner.

Good comfort food. But not, not at all, traditional Tex Mex. No enchiladas, queso, Chili relleno, etc... more like a BBQ Cafe. Again, it's good and tasty food. But, if you're not from CA and know/want TexMex, it's not here.

Deep pit beef is good as well as the cheesey potatoes similar to au gratin ....but my favorite is the tri tip chili 😱😱 dee-licious with jalapeno cornbread !! 🤤

Great food, service, and food.
We wanted an option that was close to downtown and gave this a shot. The atmosphere was great and the employees were super cool. The ordering prior to sitting down was a surprise but I ended up really liking it. Best of all the food was awesome!

New experience, you order your choice of items and a drink addy thr end. Different than most Mexican restaurant I've eaten at. Food is tasty and a generous amount for the price. Refills free. Practice cdc guidelines

We've only lived in the area for 45 years and this was our first visit. The wife had the veggie burrito. It was awesome. It had a taco salad. I couldn't finish it. We will try to get back again in a few years.

The staff have no personalities, they never seem to be happy to be there, unless of course they know you. I believe that if you work in customer service you should greet each one with a kind face and a warm welcome. We have come in several times and it's never changed and that's unfortunate.

Amazing food, always fresh that morning. The cake is to die for. Friendly staff, very clean and organized. If you haven't been here before, you're definitely missing out on one of Bakersfield's little treasures!

Best lunch spot in town in my opinion, if you like Tex Mex. The deep pit beef and chicken are excellent and the chili is awesome! Prices are very reasonable, and don't leave without getting a piece of chocolate cake! WORTH IT!
