Our first time here. It was so delicious. Customer service was excellent Marina was our server. And very pleasant and did I mention food was delicious. 😋 😋 😋 😋 will return on our next way through Bakersfield.

I come to Bakersfield from time to time to work. I like a homestyle kitchen with home style from scratch food.
Donna Kaye's restaurant was just that.
The server and possibly owner (I'm not sure) made you feel welcome. I will come here for breakfast anytime I'm in the area.

I love Donna Kay's and it's been my #1 place for Breakfast. But today I was honestly disappointed in my order the Food was cold didn't have any flavor other then the coffee that was warm but not hot. I don't live far from the Restaurant and I know my uber eats driver was there to pick it up on time as he messaged me appoligizing for the delay. So why was the food ice cold? It just tells me Donna Kay's let the food sit until they had the time to give it to my driver. A $35 order and they let it sit smh definitely not happy with the food today.

This is the place to be fire diner food and their omelettes are tier 1 I always recommend this place for everyone’s liking

The Greek scrambled eggs. I have to give chef a shout out. Nothing against the waitress because she was great! but I literally waited longer outside to get my order taken then it took for my food to get back to me after I ordered it. Im not even playing. It had to be about 5-6 minutes before she was coming back out with my plate. Good food. been coming here for years. They have the front patio seating now. Very nice. Love this place and the food…😊Try it if you haven’t already.

Such a wonderful place! The waitresses are always lovely and have perfect costumes service! My boyfriend and I go every Saturday morning! We are now Saturday regulars! They are one of very few restaurants open at 5am so when we get off work at 5:00am they are always our first choice!!! Highly recommend!

Well, this is the BEST kept secret in Bakersfield. My husband and I came for the first time for breakfast on a Sunday morning .No regrets! We both agree that the food and the service we received are exceptional! Marina welcomed us like family :).

This is the kind of diner you want to find on a roadtrip. It feels almost locals exclusive. The food is comfy but not too heavy. You can also meet Donna Kaye herself! I found the price range to be on the higher end for a diner, but you'll be paying for quality so don't fret.

If you want old-fashioned, home cooked food that sticks to your ribs experience, then this is it! I frequent Donna Kaye's more than I'd care to admit. The waitresses are on their game, so please tip them because they absolutely deserve it!
