Drip coffee was okay. I like the coffee bar a lot, though. I appreciated the fact they served the coffee at a drinkable temperature. The pastry I had was great! The main reason I am giving a low review is because the music is terribly loud, and it was almost impossible to hear my friend sitting next to me because of it. Coffee shops are typically more chill "vibes," and this was not it. This was more like a bar setting.

Great brunch, nice outfit seating, interesting cocktails, fantastic not French toast, see photos

Cold coffee. Requested it be warned and was given a fresh cup, but it was still cold. Probably won't visit again. Food selection was limited.

Very goofy oporations and hours. It’s 2:45pm in the afternoon and they’re turning people away. Apparently you can sit on their awesome patio (as about a half dozen parties are doing) but they won’t serve you any food or drinks for several hours in the afternoon despite 6 or so employees being here. Not sure what their model is but several other parties were knocking on the door at the same time I was wondering what was going on as well. Never heard of a coffee place with such strange hours, Gotta give it a one star since it’s entirely inaccessible. Looks cool but you can only look during this time. Shame.

The good: the coffee was excellent, the service was friendly, and the food was good.

The bad: this is a good example of over the top bougie-ness. The sinks for the bathrooms are outside of the bathroom where other patrons can see you washing up, the waiting and ordering system is needlessly complicated, the music in the Market is so loud the hostess can't hear your name correctly, etc.

Also, there are a crazy number of employees here. Nearly one employee for every two customers. Lots of them standing around makes you wonder why the food takes so long. And the self serve water glasses are stored upside down and nested into one another, making them smell mildewy.

An ecclectic restaurant that ticks lots of boxes.

Artisinal cafe? Check.
Chef inspired renditions of classic dishes? Check.
Edible Flower decorations on the dishes? Yep.

We stopped in for Brunch and were a bit stumped on how to get into the restaurant. I mistakenly chose the side entrance by the outside bar but found my way to the hostess who seated us (you should use the entrance closer to Ruby's). Getting seated by a hostess and also being a fast casual establishment? Weird!

The Muffletta and the Bahn Mi were amazing yet clearly not meant to be exact replicas of those classic sandwiches. Respect to the folks at the back of the house for putting these wonderful items together. We thoroughly enjoyed the flavors, presentations and size/value.

My daughter wanted another piece of honey comb in her yogurt dish but enjoyed it anyway.

The ear splitting club music on a Sunday morning was a bit much but not enough to lose a point but I'm feeling magnanimous today. The strange cement blocks do a great job stopping the loud music from sounding echoey.

Don't forget to help yourself to water, ice and utensils on the high boy on the side under the to-go boxes.

When I first visited, I wasn't sure what to expect. I had seen photos online and knew that the restaurant was developed by the people at Onyx Coffee, who roast some of the best coffee I'd ever had. But would it translate into a successful food spot... ?

The answer is a resounding YES! I was so impressed by the food, its careful and beautiful plating (the food looks even >more< beautiful in person) and the exceptionally attentive team at this spot. The spot also happens to have one of the most beautiful and memorable designs in NWA -- the creativity of the space is astounding.

I will definitely be going back again!

I LOVE the Cafe/Market. The atmosphere and music makes it a place you don't want to leave. Having tried almost everything on the menu, I can honestly say it's an experience not just a meal, and it goes without saying, there is only one word for coffee...Onyx! I love the fact that after enjoying my favorite cup of coffee, I only have to go a few steps to pick up what I need from the marketplace, verses the hassle of dealing with the crowds at the supermarket. It truly is the perfect place to take a friend. Looking forward to bringing my friends from San Diego

First off, what I loved: the ambiance, the vibe, the pastry, and the coffee. The pastries from any Onyx owned facility is on point. The cinnamon roll was exceptionally good without being sickly sweet and the almond croissant is a favorite. The latte was phenomenal. Better than some of the other onyx locations that have seemed to slip a little in quality control this last year. Beautiful design and loved the market inside.
Didn't love so much: the pricing is out for me. I won't be able to dine, just grab and go. That being said, I'm sure the quality of the food stands up to pricing. The ordering process is so confusing. We were stopped outside and had to place our to go order without ever being able to see the actual pastries. Then we were told to go hang out inside and wait. Then when we wanted to buy something from the market we had to get in another line up front. A little confusing. And lastly, I've been twice and both times my order was wrong. First time they didn't put one of my pastries out, and when I inquired they said it wasn't on the ticket. I was a little aggravated but I would have had to have proceeded back outside to find the lady that I had placed the order with and verify she had missed it even though I had ordered it and then I would have had to wait again so I just dropped it. Second time I asked for my pastries not heated so we could enjoy the next day. They warmed them over and we decided to eat then instead of having a stale pastry. I think with some kinks worked out they'll get there.

Wow!! What a beautiful place. This is gonna be a really cool place when it's all finished. It's already so good!
