Late For the Train

Solid coffee, great burritos and good pastries.

A hot drink on a very cold and windy day! The Pumpkin Spice Latte and Salted Caramel Latte (both with Oat Milk) were delicious. We also had Coffee Cake that was wonderful. Such a perfect location for when you need a warm drink in your hand while exploring Flagstaff.

The staff was also super friendly!

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in town!

The seating area is roomy and spacious, and I feel like I never over stay my welcome. The staff are friendly, and have made great suggestions when I’m up for trying something new, or don’t have anything particular in mind.

I am really excited for when I can get back into the cafe for sure.

I normally love their coffee, but the service just seems to be getting worse and worse. They used to be friendly, now they seem too cool to care. The place was empty, I ordered drinks and food, went to the patio, and waited for our items to arrive. After 10 minutes, I walked back inside, only to find several workers behind the counter chatting, with our food and drinks sitting on the counter getting cold. Ok, you could at least come out and tell us our stuff was ready. Seriously, when they expect an 18% tip minimum on the credit card machine, the least they could do is volley a few drinks out to the patio. Thank you lazy baristas, I no longer feel the need to tip any counter service ever again. I'm tired of tipping for people just barely doing their job. Oh, and the vegan zucchini bread is mushy and gross. That recipe really needs fixing.

Great little shop with plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. Super friendly staff and quick service, delicious espresso and a variety of pastries. Seems to stay quiet enough even with lots of tourist traffic on the sidewalks outside.

I threw my coffee-flavored dishwater away. After three tries and each one being sub-par, (apparently on-par for Flagstaff though,) I won’t be back. I work too hard for the money wasted.

I have never had a bad chai tea latte except from here. Tasted like drinking a candle. Staff is nice to your face but talked bad about customers and then myself to other employees within ear shot.

While I love checking out all of the local coffee shops and while they all are great, Late for the Train is tops in customer service. The staff is friendly and professional and Claire went above and beyond to rescue me when I brought a credit card that didn't work. Thank you Claire. Oh, and did I mention they have great baked goods and of course the coffee is fabulous.
