Pioneer Cafe

Very busy little local place - lots of locals. Fair prices, pretty good service and good food. I have the Reindeer hot dog which came with a choice of soup or fries – I chose the clam chowder which is Ivar’s and is always a good choice. The Reindeer dog was great flavor and nicely done – only slight downside was the skin was a bit tough on the dog, but I would recommend it none the less. My wife had the Halibut fish and chips which is a bit expensive for what you get, but still very tasty and would not hesitate to have it again – fish was fresh and well prepared. I would come back if I happen to be in Ketchikan again.

Food was good. Bad thing was, our waiter/food server never wore a face mask our entire time there.(1 hour)

Delicious breakfast and super friendly people! A real gem in downtown Ketchikan! Pancakes are my favorites!

Clean and pretty well kept. Staff are friendly, food isn't too bad. Pricing is steep, but some are marked up. Soft drinks are well over priced. But a decent spot for chow.

The pie was excellent, the staff were friendly, but the building could use some refurbishment and updating.

I like a few things on their menu but not the cleanest place EDITED: since I’ve live here I’ve watched the service turn despicable, expect rude service and terrible food.

Asked me to leave over an RO that no longer was in effect then forgot my jam on delivery. Along with them not carrying change and just leaving without saying anything makes it to where the few food items they have are only of value when late and drunk.

Will say though the servers are great. The management needs work.
