Rose's Cafe

We stopped here thinking we would just grab a cup of coffee and ended up having a wonderful breakfast! The portion sizes were very large! We split a “basic” breakfast (2 eggs and French toast) between our two sons, ages 8 and 6. The staff was incredibly nice! We will remember this place as we travel through in the future!

Came here 3 times this week and the food is delicious. Enjoyed the Healy Special for breakfast and the BBQ burger for lunch. Don’t miss out on the sweet potato fries! Yum!! Sometimes the wait is long, but it’s worth it. The service is great, despite seeming to be understaffed. They’re totally on top of refills. It has a “going to grandma’s house” vibe. Highly recommend!

Great place. Very homey atmosphere. Food was great. When we got there two tables of at least 8 people came in. It was a packed house. The waitresses seemed a little overwhelmed. It took us about an hour to get our food because of a ticket printing error. Never printed, therefore was never cooked. But once we got our food it was great and hot. We were happy to find this place, especially during the time of year because most places are closed for the season.

Lunch here was great! Reminds me of a good ol’ comfortable home cooked meal. Very family friendly restaurant. The staff was kind and the food was great ❤️

If you enjoy cinnamon rolls, this place might have the best cinnamon rolls in Alaska! A+! Hot, fresh, soft and gooey, covered in a glacier of delicious icing.

The rest of the place is perhaps not quite as exciting. The English muffin was a hamburger bun, the scrambled eggs were an omelet, the interior is, well, let's just say simple and from a different decade not close to ours. The service is polite and very fast, but I certainly wouldn't call it friendly. I don't think I saw any of them smile.

Overall, I would say this is a decent place to stop for breakfast, especially considering the limited options in the area, and I definitely recommend stopping here if you love cinnamon rolls, it's worth it for that!

Ate breakfast here, it was awesome! The homemade sourdough toast is fantastic, the bacon is thick and the biscuits and gravy were top notch! You get a lot of food for a fair price. If you like spicy salsa give it a go on the eggs. It's a little family run cafe with great service!

The sourdough donuts are the best! We stop for breakfast or lunch every chance we are in the area. You can call in advance to order donuts.
