I came here on my birthday and I was happy with the food, but the server spent all her time BSing with a customer and looked at you like you were rude for interrupting her to ask for more water. There is nothing special about the place. It's a stop on the parks Highway that I wouldn't waste my time to even pull over for again, let alone think about bringing your family to celebrate any occasion lol.

We travel a lot and I do get tired of diners and cafes sometimes. To often everything tastes the same. No imagination or concern for quality. Well this is not the case at Rose's Cafe. Everything matters here! Taste, friendliness, quality and imagination!
How about freshly made sourdough carmel doughnuts? And apparently they make sauerkraut pie. We'll have to try that next time. And, yes, there will be a next time even though it is 3654 miles from home.
Oh, and don't forget to try the house made salsa. I am completely addicted!

They serve breakfast all day long! The meat lovers omelet is my favorite and when you add the homemade salsa along with handmade sourdough bread it is the best place to eat this side of fairbanks or anywhere in the park!

Holy cow are the pancakes huge! But man is this place good. Nothing like a huge breakfast before hitting Denali for a hike. The service was quick and food tasted good and was at a reasonable price given the price gouging that exists at other places in the area.

"Alaska" sized portions. Amazing staff. Very friendly.
