This café is definitely a hidden gem in Fairbanks! The food is delicious and affordable. The staff is friendly. The environment is cozy. I really like their waffles, but I suspect that they have some quality control issue on it. The first waffle I had was crispy and brown (the most perfect waffle!), but the second waffle I had several days later was pale and soft (not very impressive)… If I will buy waffle from them again, I will make a note to them that I want the crispy and brown version. Other items are all pretty good (“castaway” smoothie, kale salad, English muffin with omelette inside, latte, chocolate-banana “mocha monkey” smoothie).

This cafe is very cute and cozy, that we loved it so much that we ended up coming here twice! ❄️ the staff were very friendly, the pastries we had were delicious and our drinks hit the spot. We had chai latte, pour over coffee, hazelnut cookie, and granola tart which were all extremely yummy! For the second time we came, we gave the cinnamon roll a shot and even though I was hesitant because I thought it looked dry, it wasn’t at all!

Went into Little Owl Cafe for Christmas bakery. It’s awesome they carry vegan bakery options. They were pretty busy so I was in and out quickly. The atmosphere is comfortable, nice place to sit and have one of their coffees or teas. Clean little cafe, quiet place to read or enjoy company with a loved one. Many desert options to choose from, all homemade. I like that they carry their logo hoodies and goose neck tea pots, very hard to find in Fairbanks.

I researched coffee places before arriving in Fairbanks and came across this gem. Everything about this place was 10+ stars! The lady who took our order was very helpful when picking out the syrup for my cold brew. I tried the house made lavender honey and my husband tried the vanilla. Both were exceptional! My daughter and son-in-law got smoothies and they raved about them. 3 of us got the Belgian waffle and the other got a sandwich. That Belgian waffle was made exactly how they should be made! It was absolute perfection! My husband thoroughly enjoyed his sand inch and then the other half of my waffle. He loved them both! Don’t pass this gem of a place up!

I was visiting all the way from California and had such a wonderful experience. One of the veggies on my Meze plate was out in the morning & they gave me a plate of it in the afternoon. I really appreciated that as the meal was expensive…but worth it! A lovely place to study, relax, and catch up with a friend…and the coffee was amazing!!!

The raspberry latte was truly amazing! And the place is really nice. I usually get disappointed by waffles in most places but this place makes them perfect for my taste.

My daughter and I love the owl cafe! The baked goods are so delicious! And gluten free! The coffee is great! And the staff is wonderful! Somedays they are super busy, but it’s definitely worth the wait! I enjoy seeing them busy because it means business is good and we can keep going there. Highly recommend to everyone!

Came here with my friend about a month and a half ago and was super excited about all the gf and vegan options, everything was delicious! The only problem was my salad I ordered was two pieces of kale and some sweet potatoes and a pinch of toasted garbanzo beans, very delicious but bit worth the money.

My friend had a salad wrap that she thought was delicious and adequately packed :).

Will not go back after yesterday. We were faithful patrons until having a run-in with the owner yesterday. Her presence changed the whole atmosphere of the cafe and the staff. But we Love the staff! When we arrived, four people were in upfront, and we weren't greeted. There was a woman with her back to us, bending over and doing something in the fridge. I was later told that she was the owner. When she finally noticed us, her demeanor was off. As we were thinking about our order, a young man walked in and asked for the rest of his order, and he was completely ignored. He was an African American man. When placing our order, the owner and I sparred about what to call a drink. I told her we come there often, and all of the staff know exactly how to make the drink; she replied dryly, "It must be from someone else's menu". My husband later told me that his previous encounters with the owner were similar and he thought she was just having bad days. As people of color, I can only assume that she doesn't want our business. NOPE. As consumers, we have a lot of power when deciding where to spend our money. Little Owl is off the menu for us.
