They have done a wonderful job transforming this former adult bookstore into a cozy and community-friendly all-ages bookstore and cafe with delicious sandwiches. The outdoor seating was just perfect on these sunny days, and the staff was friendly and attentive.
I can't believe it took me so long to stop in; I will definitely be back soon!

Genuinely one of my favorite places to go to. I try to go any time I can. The music, the food, the drinks, the staff, they're all just wonderful.

I'm a regular here and I absolutely loooovvveeee the block mojito and Ukrainian borscht. They hold events here and sell books, music, and art from locals. It's a great place to work on stuff, or hang out with friends, or just to relax.

So happy to find this gem. They seemed to read my mind with every drink and food choice. It felt like visiting Sukiyabashi Jiro in Tokyo— just put yourself in trusted hands and enjoy each moment. I opened a tab and spent one of the most productive writing afternoons I have enjoyed in months. Will be back for sure— especially for the Israeli Salad. My only regret is that I ate it too fast to get a photo. The Japanese ramen serving bowl made me feel right at home ヾ(๑╹◡╹)ノ" Here’s a snap of the heavenly iced herbal tea for now \(^o^)/

We just moved to the Spenard area of Anchorage and spotted this little bookshop/café for the first time. The outside of the building is very inviting and modern. There are a lot of things to like about the decor on the inside, as well. They have a great selection of books and play a wide array of music. There is outdoor seating available, but since it was drizzling, the girlfriend and I opted to eat inside. I ordered the Hot Albuquerque Turkey Sandwich and a cup of the Spicy Chicken Tortilla Soup. Both were fantastic. Perfect amount of heat and flavor. The IPA the cashier/server suggested was perfect for washing down my lunch. We will be making this spot a new regular place for a bite and a beer.

Loved! Cute bookstore, feels good to support a local and the food was amazing. She served me a panini with a ukranian soup and I wont insult by botching the name of it but so glad i tried and stopped by. Will be back

I would absolutely leave a zero star if I could. Completely disappointed. I was excited to go and support a local business, get some brunch, see what books they had and relax for an afternoon. We decided to order first, the lady at the counter took our ENTIRE order and was about to give us our total, but then decided to tell us to put on masks. She was at least polite about it (after reading some of the reviews they apparently have some really rude people that work there) and then said it was their policy (also a side note, there were about 3 other people in there that didn't have masks on). The CDC has relaxed mask mandates everywhere so we were not expecting that. So we just left. We went to Barnes and Nobles instead and had a much better experience.
