AK Alchemist Coffee

I'm not giving a 5 just because I've only had one drink here, but my oh my it was incredible. I had a medium white mocha--I wish I'd gotten larger. Friendly barista put a sticker over the lid opening, which was great for walking. I usually wait a few minutes before drinking for fear of burning my mouth, so it was great to not worry about the drink sloshing out.

Worst coffee shop in Anchorage. Waited in line for 20 minutes this morning. Never did get coffee. There were people standing in front of me who hasn't even ordered yet when I left. Poor service, over priced. Won't be returning.

Food is great, everything i have had there has been fresh and tasty. I love their fish and chips the most and also their frozen lemonade, they are also a very unique little place and in a great location on the corner. Definitely worth a try! :)

Definitely one of the best kept secrets of Anchorage (not likely to be a secret for long). the deck is what draws people to it, and once your seated there's a great atmosphere to the intimate setting. Almost like a patio get-together at one of your friends places. The servers are great, and always with a smile. One of my go-to places for the time that I'll live here.

I go to the Alaska Regional location and there are multiple issues I experience regularly.
They do not meet their posted hours. Today (right now, in fact) is not the first time that they have not opened the location on time. Set different hours if you do not have the staff to work the hours posted.
The girls (I've only seen girls work there) rarely smile. They are not rude but they are not friendly. They do not appear to like their jobs.
They have a points program that allows for a free coffee after 10 drinks, A coworker had to tell me about it. I am a regular and the girls recognize me every time but still never mentioned it.
I would recommend going to a different coffee shop because I would not go to this one if I had another option while working. Their monopoly on the hospital is the only reason I go.

I had a Door Dash order for them and when I arrived the lady said she doesn’t really receive Door Dashes and that her iPad was in the bar area. The order was paid for by the customer and she said she was too busy to wait for a resolution on how it was going to be paid for. I let her know I wouldn’t leave without the order being paid for. She turned on the iPad and when Door Dash customer support called because the order was processed and paid for by the customer they refused to fill the order or let me pay for the order on my dash card after they refilled the order in the app.

They had no customers and said they were too busy to serve my order. The lady was very rude and talked down to me and blaming me for adding more stress to her morning.

She did serve another customer as I was trying to sort out my issue for our customer. But then refused to serve me after.

Got the reindeer crunch wrap, and was amazed. The food was absolutely amazing along with the service. The drive through was super convenient as well. Definitely worth the price 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

They have a good variety of drinks. Tacos were good. Their Ak breakfast burritos are also amazing. The experience and atmosphere were great. Definitely recommend.

With coffee in one "building" and beer at the other, there is something at all times of the day. The menu is basic, but tasty, and there are plenty of solid beers on the limited taps. Dog-friendly, and good for a pint or quick stop in the sun.
