AK Alchemist Coffee

The bartenders are always sweet, the place definitely attracts a little bit of a crowd, but the coffee, mimosas, and salmon quesadillas are always on point 👌 Haven't been able to find anything like them in town. Definitely go on a nice, sunny day! You won't regret it.

Came here a few times and food was good (3.5-4 stars) but the flow not so much.

In the winter time, it was nice with 2 service windows on each side of the "truck"/trailer that you can pull up to for service.

Came by again in the summer and I followed a group of walk-up folks who ordered on one side of the "truck" and cars were ordering on the other side which seemed logical (maybe it wasn't, but no one corrected us). After waiting 45+ minutes in line (there were 4 parties in front of me, 6 people) I finally got to order my coffee (probably should've ordered food after that long wait). If it wasn't to use my expired Groupon because I was in the area, I would've left.

The worker was really nice but man the flow was just not working well that day (cost them half a star... Can't say I'll be back soon, but the deck is a nice feature in this Alaska summer sun!)

This was a big let down! The first time we went it was about 10 minutes after they were supposed to open. They were just showing up so we went to a great little diner white spot down the street and were able to get a great breakfast. The second time was in the middle of the day. They were open and I was really looking forward to the reindeer burger but was very disappointed. It was burnt and dry.

The food is ridiculously good (best fish and chips), the people are nice and welcoming, buuuuuut the service is pretty hit or miss. I ordered an item just to be informed 40 minutes later they don't have it, not great news if you're on lunch break. Sometimes food will be out within 5 minutes, but only when it's busier.

Nonetheless, I'll keep recommending this place but with the disclaimer of be prepared to wait.

Was not impressed at all. Halibut was mostly batter and lacked flavor. Fries were good, but that was the only thing we liked out of fish n chips, halibut tacos, and two kinds of quesadillas. The salsa needs to be improved alot. We won't be back

Great coffee, no burned shots. Super nice and friendly staff. I come here every time I'm in the area since we live in the valley.

Great last minute place to get something to munch on

This outdoor coffee stop, bar, and eatery has a very young atmosphere. It reminds me of Reffen in Copenhagen Denmark - an entire Danish park built out of old shipping containers.

They have outdoor heated igloos for winter date nights during pandemic restrictions. We have been here 3 times and the servers have always been cautious and helpful, the beer great, and the food good. The tacos are not the most artful, but the fish is good and the fries tasty.

Come here for fun, to hang out outside, and to share a drink. I would probably not come here only for the dinner.

This is a good bar to go to if you'd like to have a sandwich or salad outside where you can watch people walk by in downtown Anchorage. They have breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches, fries, chips, salmon, halibut, reindeer and veggie options on the menu along with a full espresso coffee bar as well as a full service alcoholic bar. Oh, and they have Alaskan beer on tap.

Great place to get a beer especually during the summer nights. The food is ok here. It goes with the drinking. I was told that the reindeer crunchwrap was pretty good though. Live music in the evening. Its awesome to be outside.
