Smith-Byrd House Bed and Breakfast and Tea Room

I would definitely recommend this place! The workers are attentive and professional and the food is amazing!

The quiche of the day was wonderfully cheesy and the teas are brewed at the correct temperature, then served without the leaves so every sip is consistent.

I just got to the scones and sandwichs. The scones were fresh baked and came with almond clotted cream and each of the 4 sandwiches are different and delicious! I'm definitely going to come here again!

Smith-Byrd House tea room was wonderful. Took my mother and aunt for a Mother’s Day tea party. Ms Beth gave me a reservation even though it was an hour before their closing time, and the time we spent was never rushed. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The atmosphere was very warm and comforting. The scones were absolutely fresh and delicious, and the variety of teas were plenty. The only problem was finding the place if you’re not familiar with the area. The sign is pretty small, and the back entrance needs improvement. The inside of the house was very quaint and interesting. Overall, the experience was very nice. I would definite go again.

My family of 5 went for afternoon tea. We are so pleased with the service and food! There is a large selection of teas, there is a good variety of food, and the ambiance was great. I would highly recommend going!

Beth and David were very accommodating for my family! We requested gluten-free and vegetarian options, as well as socially-distant seating arrangements. They went above our expectations in making us comfortable, and the tea was very tasty!

Very nice out of the way tea room. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Large selection of teas ensures there will always be something for everyone. Menu had a selection of finger sandwiches and trees cakes. All very good.

Such a great atmosphere for my sister's bridal tea! Plenty of room for games and mingling. The food was absolutely amazing! It felt like a real English tea and all the girls raved about this place! Ms. Beth and her amazing staff really know how to give a memorable experience. I will definitely be returning for a private dinner soon.

They have a great variety of tea and pretty good menu. Scones were excellent that comes with clotted cream, jam and lemon curd. Tea sandwiches were very good too and freshly made. Place is adorable with the cutest tea accessories. They have a small room up one level for private tea parties. Will be back...

I've been to the Tea Room for lunch several times. As always today was great! Delicious food and Pumpkin Spice tea was excellent!

We stayed for three nights. This Inn was the perfect place to stay when visiting sites in either Montgomery or Selma. The downtown of Prattville is very unique and interesting to walk, not far from the Inn. The breakfasts were excellent and one couldn't ask for better hosts. They were helpful in telling us the best routes and informing us of sites to see. Loved the bathroom! And if you are a tea lover, this is the place for you. (Don't despair, coffee is also there!)

While I absolutely love the food and great service, I took off 2 stars due to the deterioration of the house and grounds. It's starting to look like a haunted house instead of a nice bed and breakfast/tea house. I had some friends visiting from out of town and was showing them around town. I was going to take them here for tea but they couldn't even believe that the place was open since it's looking abandoned and shabby.

They would get a lot more business if the house and grounds looked the part. I really like this place and the nice owners but they really need to fix the place up.
