Its a must. Perfect place to go for two,a large party and even just by yourself. Its perfect for any vibe like special occasions, catching up, routine hanging out, or a place to take a break and have a bite to eat.
I loved everything they served! Its so yummy. I personally recommend getting the salad and quiche together because they balance eachother out perfectly. Best quiche I had, as well. Their food is perfectly balanced in flavor. Not overly sweet, nor salty;very fresh tasting as well. My baby loved the sandwiches and moist scones, too. The hotel definitely makes their menu with intention and love;which I believe why it tastes delicious. Its definitely a beautiful layout that is pleasing to the eyes but the flavors are the winners. They have a galore of teas to drink that are described perfectly on the menu so they all were a hit for me.
We just went for the tea room experience and on our way out enjoyed their cute gift shop, walking out with a few goodies.
Must visit. Me and my family loved it so much. Thank you.

I absolutely love going to Smith-Byrd House for their tea. The service is always great and they offer recommendations when I don't know what to pick. Whenever I have to go to the area for work, I always stop to get me some tea. They have a very large selection so you are bound to find something that you would like to try.

This tearoom and bed & breakfast is a gem! The accommodations are historic and comfortable. The tea selection is huge and delicious. The customer service is excellent! I highly recommend stopping in or staying the night.

My best friend of 50 years and I have a tradition of eating at Smith-Byrd House every year to start the Christmas season. It is something we look forward to and the food, atmosphere and people are wonderful!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Smith-Byrd House. Beth and David are friendly hosts who care about their guests. We enjoyed sharing breakfast with them. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and breakfast and tea time were delicious. If you're visiting Prattville or Montgomery, I recommend this B&B.

Love the atmosphere and tea selection. The owners are so nice and opened especially for my daughter's birthday.

We were a little nervous when we pulled up because the house and grounds need a lot of outside attention. However, I was somewhat expecting that from previous reviews. Once you walk in you just fall in love. It’s so cute and the staff is amazing. The food was SO GOOD! The quiche was the best I’ve ever eaten. The salad and dressing were light and fresh. Everything was gluten free and made perfectly. Between my mom and I, we tried 3 teas and they were all delicious. We purchased a couple things from the gift shop and will definitely come back again.

I'm so glad I was introduced to this place! I normally find Panera or Starbucks to be cozy and peaceful, but the ones here just seem loud and uncomfortable. This tea place has a quaint and welcoming atmosphere inside. The gift shop is also nice. It's a wonderful place to meet up with friends or acquaintances. Charming! 😍

Update: I've gone several more times since first writing this review, and it's always wonderful. The deck could use some updates, but the food is great and the desserts change enough for it to be a unique experience each time while delivering a consistent quality. There's also a big variety of tea, and the price is affordable enough for me to keep coming back, especially compared to other tea places.

I usually get the Tea for Two (or 3 depending on how many people come with me) because it includes a salad and sample size of everything along with whatever types of teas you want to try. It's about $15 a person. There are less expensive offers and more expensive ones.

I've taken my friends, my mom and sister, my niece who is getting married soon, spouses of my husband's coworkers, and some of my photography clients. They always love it! Even if it's not their "cup of tea" it's something unique and leads to great conversations. I don't recommend having children tag along if you're trying to go for yourself, but they do have specific events for kids like tea with Mrs. Claus. So they do know how to accommodate for children.

Let me get to the tea, 🤣, okay but forreal!! My stay (be it one night) was lovely. So lovely. When was the last time you stayed somewhere lovely when traveling? Comfortable big rooms, just as pictured. Delicious tea on real porcelain, delicious home-cooked breakfast. Beth and David care and it shows. I love that I have my tea at home and remember there is still time for care and time for relaxing in this world.
