Nostalgic. Food is wonderful. Service is premium. Getting a seat might be a premium too. I’ve enjoyed all my experiences here. Wonderful delicious

We were seated next to the front door and the flies were a problem. I know the business can't control this but perhaps not utilizing this area to seat customers would be an option.
The buffet has been considerably dwindled in options since my last visit. The only meat option was chicken wings and bbq sliders, which they constantly ran out of and customers were given only 2 wings per trip and told they could return after eating the two if they still wanted more. The only vegetable choices were baked beans, can corn and frozen okra. Salad choices were blt and potato salad. Watermelon chunks were offered.
Dessert table has been reduced to 2 bite servings.
That being said, the food was a nice temperature and delicious. I did not try the can corn.
My friend is recovering from double knee replacements and walking on a Cain. Our table was furthest away from food and with the 2 wing limit this was hard on her. Not to mention the fly problem since we didn't want to leave our drinks and flatware unattended. Flies would literally land on food while we were eating requiring discard and a unnecessary trip back to the buffet.

How did we not find this place until now??!!Awesome atmosphere!! Great Food and drinks. We will for sure be back! Live music was great!

Excellent wait staff. Good atmosphere. The main reason for the three star is the limited food choices for the extremely high lunch price. fried chicken tenders or very dry baked chicken. Corn bread is delicious but served cold with a pad of butter. Several good choices on desert bar was a positive. two adults and one child ticket price $45. So with tip $53 for lunch with no alcohol.

Very pleased. Used this restaurant as the venue for a 30th Anniversary gathering. The food was great, highly recommend the meatloaf, and the vegetables were fresh and cooked very well. There is a really great vibe and tons of places to take really great pictures. Lots of wood and brick, a piano, and an old phone booth. Our server was Kendall and she was so sweet and attentive and the manager , Charlotte, checked on us personally twice, even with a large party on the other side of the restaurant. The night was a success and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We celebrated a 60th birthday party here and I don’t think there was any better place for it. The ambiance was everything. The service and the food was great. They were very accommodating. Great job to the entire staff. This was my first time there but I do plan to go back.

Hubbard's Off Main is the closest thing to going to your Grandma's house for that awesome "Sunday" lunch that we all loved and looked forward to every week! The best Southern style homemade food I've had anywhere in Alabama! My lunch meal today was absolutely "delicious" and so satisfying! A "must" place to go and eat if you love traditional Southern cuisine!

This is the first time we visit this restaurant, I didn't know what to expect; the service was great from the beginning, I wanted to try a little bit of everything, so I began with a Greek salad, my husband choose the Shrimp and grits as an entrance, there was no disappointment! the shrimp and grits were delicious! the salad had the perfect ingredient combination and the house dressing was perfect!! For our main course I ordered the Meatloaf with fried okra and sweet baked potato (thinking of dessert! 😉) the only thing I didn't favoured was the red sauce on the meatloaf which was a little too sweet for me, but I'm not a food expert so this could well be proper flavor... who knows? my husband went more simple and just choose a vegetable plate. Everything was delicious and we definitely will be coming back.

Slow service. The bread appetizer that is offered is small, almost the size of the bread from Olive Garden but cut into slices and you only get one piece for the entire group you are dining with. Appetizers given immediately in much much larger portions would have boosted the rating to 5 stars. I ordered the classic salad and it was pretty good.

Beautiful Dining with Great Choices
I really enjoy this restaurant every time I go. The interior is heavy on brick and wood, and it's all the real deal - historic and interesting. Big picture windows let in a lot of natural light. There's room for entertainment, and you'll find some there often. I've never had a mediocre meal here. It seems to me like the Hubbard family works hard to make this restaurant a very unique setting, with excellent food. It excels at Holiday times. The buffet offerings for Thanksgiving and Easter are delicious.
