Yoooooo this cake came out better than I could have dreamed! It was the perfect centerpiece to my FairyCore tea party birthday luncheon. And it was delicious to boot! Had everyone asking, βThatβs a CAKE?!β I cried cutting into it. The 6β round was enough for 10 people and we still brought leftovers home.

Popped over to The Dessert Fork while I was in the neighborhood and wanted a little treat. It was an enjoyable experience!
Located in a small shopping mall towards the end of Madison near Earth and Stone, this little bake shop has cute decorations and a warm, inviting feel. From their menu online, it looks like they mostly do cakes and cupcakes for special occasions, but they also have a variety of bars and brownies if you just want a little one-off treat.
The employee working when I visited on Friday was very pleasant. She could tell it was my first time visiting and she politely and warmly recommended that I try a cheesecake bar after I explained I just wanted a sweet snack. She explained they make their caramel sauce and all their products in house. I'm always happy to listen to what employees say is good -- they've usually tried it all -- and she wasn't wrong!
My cheesecake bar was dense without being heavy -- I love thick, creamy cheesecake. My family calls airy, light cheesecake "wind poofer" cheesecake and it's a big no-no. Luckily for me, this fit the bill of my preferred style. Very rich and gooey. The graham cracker crust didn't get lost at all and added a little bit of crunch and a nice sweetness. The caramel sauce was good, too, and very decadent. Personally, I feel it may have made the cheesecake just a tiny bit too sweet, but that's my only critique. I would still enjoy this treat again, and would happily try their other offerings. Service was A+ and the shop was cute. They're worth a try!

My twins wanted a Marvel/Godzilla themed cake and I had no idea how to pull it off. Pauline did it. This was amazing! The kids loved the atomic breath, and it tasted wonderful.

I showed them a picture of what I was wanting and they worked with me to recreate that look within my budget. The cake turned out beautifully and was very rich and tasty. The deep vanilla smell alone was wonderful. Thank you!

The staff were very friendly. I ordered a lemon cake for pick up for my husband's birthday. The icing was delicious and had lemon rind in it. It was the best part of the cake! The cake itself had an odd texture to it and not much flavor. We did let it sit out for 30 minutes as suggested when I picked up the cake. Not sure if I should have let it sit longer. Given the price we paid (almost $40) we were expecting a little more.

Wonderful desserts! We tried the lemon bar, cheesecake, and cookie butter bar. All were so delicious and sweet! The employees were kind and patient and explained each that we asked about very well. Will definitely be back next time we need a cake or just want some dessert. Thank you! π

We visited this place for the first time today and was very disappointed. We purchased a few different cupcakes such as red velvet, strawberry, lemon, and chocolate just so we could try a variety to find our favorite. They all looked nice but every one tasted horrible. They were also cold so must of just came out of the refrigerator. The cake part was edible but the frostings were all dry and tasteless. We tried one bite of each and every one went into the trash. Trust me, we love desserts and I think this is the first time we have ever thrown them away. Donβt waste your money.

Dessert Fork saved the day! I had a Wedding Shower bake treat emergency this past weekend. I went to Dessert Fork and they pulled through. She was able to pull 60 treats together for me in two hours. Not only did she save the day but the mini pies were delicious! I highly recommend.

2nd visit here. The service was helpful and it was clean. I again was the only customer party in the establishment. It just may be MY taste, but I'm not a fan of how the SWEETS taste. Something... was missing... it seemed fake to me after all these many years of eating from other bakeries. I came over a year ago to try, same thoughts. Perhaps the no preservatives has that change in how it tasted. Idkππ½ββοΈ I don't think I'll return, but my other part of my party may return. π
