Su Casa has long been a local favorite for decades, and stopping there for an early supper did NOT disappoint!
Restaurant almost always has at least a short wait; there just aren't that many tables there. Cozy, quaint, delightful.
My wife and I talked with some regulars from RAWLINS, WY; they travel 15 miles out of their way almost each week to partake.
My wife and I chose the beef n bean sopapilla, and the shredded beef and bean chimichanga, both smothered in green chile.
Fresh, filling and delicious.
Price within reason, wait staff very friendly, and, even though we live over an hour away, we plan to return sooner than later!

The food is excellent, and the Mexican food we're familiar with since we're from New Mexico. All of their food is made from scratch, and the homemade green chili and flour tortillas are so good. It's a small restaurant, and you might have to wait to be seated, but it is worth the wait!!!

I know there aren't many options available in small towns. And this place came highly recommended. But it was a pretty major disappointment.
There was a wait, and they told us 15 minutes. Took about twice that, and other people were seated who arrived after us.
Then we finally have a table. But nobody took our order. The table behind us, who arrived after we did, and were seated before us, had their food before we even ordered.
Then finally we order and eventually get our food. The food was average at best.
By the time we paid it had been 90 minutes since we got there. We should have skipped it and kept driving.

The food and service were very good. I was happy my son suggested we stop.

An embarrassment to New Mexican and Mexican Cuisine. We had to stop in Rawlins for the night while traveling through the country. As context, I have had Mexican food in Mexico, New Mexican food in New Mexico, this food was absolutely disgusting and overpriced. Down to the very salsa roja with shredded cheese and taco seasoning in it. That was a huge red flag. I honestly felt I could've had better food in a college dorm. This is no attack on any of the staff as they were very friendly. However, I would suggest a total makeover on the food and clean your bathrooms every few hours. My children were even too disgusted to use them. The prices in addition need to be reconsidered for what they are offering. You'll get the same quality and flavors at taco bell. The evidence is just in the photos which I chose to ignore. Go somewhere else until they've improved the menu.
