MarketPlace Foods Grocery Store Rice Lake

Marketplace has everything you will need for food especially healthier food options compared to Walmart. The downside is that their items can be quite spendy. I do enjoy their deli etc way better than any store in Rice Lake though. There's good food there.

Good place for fresh produce

Other than some clerk from the coffee shop yelling at me because I was taking a few cans of soda into the beer section of the store (which I've done numerous times because it's often quicker to pay there and I needed beer anyway), the store has been fantastic. Great selection, fresh meats, cheeses, fruits, veggies, deli, and weird stuff like the almond milk my housemate drinks. The bulk and organic sections are unbelievably well stocked. And the people (employees and customers included) have been extremely friendly. I wasn't used to stores like this when I lived in PA. It was a welcome change.

We shop here every year in July while on vacation. They have the largest deli I've ever seen and everything is delicious. We simpky love all their salads, and it is great to have such a large variety of cheeses and meats sliced to your liking and amount.

It's not a bad place, prices are just a bit higher. I love that they have caribou coffee in the store and a liquor store. They also have a good health food section for the health nuts. I also like how bright and clean it is compared to Walmart.

Great Coborn's run grocery store. Nice selection of value added meat. Prices are pretty decent for the surrounding area, and they have a large assortment of foods available. Great place for your regular grocery strips, or a quick fill-up stop on your way to the cabin.

Veryy nice store with a wonderful selection (including gluten free) and very helpful employees. I needed tofu and ended up having 2 employees help me find it. Love having the coffee shop and liquor store so handy to the store as well.

The produce, meat, and specials are great, but I don't feel like I should have to bag up my own groceries every time I shop there. I've had to bag my own groceries up about the last 4 out of 5 times. For how much more spendy they are over other locations in Rice Lake I feel that I shouldn't have to bag my own stuff.

Stores great!

The self checkout however is the devil and wastes your time. The person checking people out next to us had to stop to help us and it still stopped working again. Fresh produce entered, unexpected item in bagging area, remove it, unexpected item removed from bagging area and it locks up. Absurd and unacceptable to waste my time trying to serve myself at a grocery store.

Hands down the best place in town for fresh goods. The bakery and the deli never disappoint. Same with meats. Highly recommended for special requests on birthday cakes.
