The little town of Brodhead has been fortunate to have a cafe that rivals any espresso bar in Chicago and puts about any big city bakery to shame with their amazing pastries. Bonus feature: you can park a semi right in front if you're early, and be back on the road in 3 minutes flat with an amazing caffeine fix. Apparently they're planning a move to Monroe which is really unfortunate for the community and for me since I drive through regularly and will be switching back to gas station coffee. I'll miss you Half-Way Cafe!! And I'll be watching for you in Monroe!!
