Pointer Cafe

We eat here often. The food is homemade and always delicious. They offer great specials, too. Everyone is friendly, and the list of desserts is unbelievable. I would highly recommend The Pointer Cafe.

I ordered Eggs Benedict. I should of known when the waitress asked me how I wanted my eggs that it didn't bode well. Eggs Benedict is supposed to have poached eggs and poached eggs are soft and runny not hard as a rock. The ham they were served on was entirely too salty and inedible. The Hollandaise sauce was okay.

I don't know about this place. Tables were dirty. Portions were great. Food looked alright. Food tasted horrible. Tough meat. Obvious canned veggies. We weren't able to finish our food. Left still hungry, wanted dessert, but didn't want to spend more $ on food we wouldn't finish. People were friendly for sure.

Canned, gravy WAY TOO salty, tough roast beef, dry Cornish pasty with an odd canned taste.

Coffee just brewed was so weak it tasted like hot water with cream.

Nothing home made about our meal. We too spent $20 but left hungry.

We've been here before although years ago. This time, however, we sat down for at least 5 minutes at a table for 4 with no one to greet us. I was fine with that, but other people were taken care of before us that arrived after us. I assumed they were locals, and we are not. We ended up quietly getting up and leaving, and no one set a word to us. Honestly, I don't think I would go back.

Tasted ok. It's just your regular old cafe. Nothing special that stuck out. We had a good young waitress.. she made sire to check on us enough but not too much.

Wonderful experience. Very friendly service. Good food. We were able to sit and have a comfortable lunch and conversation, which included many coffee refills.

Horrible customer service by waitress. The cook was very nice. We stood there for a couple minutes and the cook told us that we could just sit anywhere Bc the waitress (the tall, round, older lady with the short dark hair) was to busy talking to the only other table there. We waited for a while before she came over. Ordered drinks and she brought me my coffee but not the pop for my fiancé. She continued talking to the other table. We waited and waited and waited. She had her back turned towards us while she was talking so we couldn’t even get her attention. We left a dollar for the coffee that I hadn’t had a sip of and left. Not impressed. I hope that dollar went to the cook.

The cake and pie were homemade and delicious! Our food was hot and very good. Service was also pretty good!
