The National Cafe

I've been meaning to stop into this place for forever, I'm glad I finally did a little over a week ago. I was greetly warmly by the two employees at the counter. After placing my order, I was given a mug to help myself at the self serve coffee station which I love. There was a good amount of seating despite it being a small place - I can def see this place being packed on weekends. My food didn't take long to be prepared. I had gotten the chorizo and potato burrito and the all American for my boyfriend. Both were delicious! The young man that took my order was extremely pleasant and accommodating and made sure I had everything that I needed as I was taking my food to go. It's the small things like this that will make me a repeat customer! :)

Lovely spot with great breakfast and lunch menu,, wonderful atmosphere especially if you get the window seat and friendly staff. I always underappreciate this wonderful staple of the neighborhood.

The food was great and so was the service. The lady who took our order and brought our food kept it real and I appreciated that. The decor and the space overall is cute. Playlist was also on point!

I love this place. Situated in a MKE neighborhood. Locally sourced, farm to table breakfast and lunch. Serves Anodyne Coffee. Service is great...can be slow when crowded due to small kitchen area....but worth the wait.

Great food and coffee. Outside seating is A+ in the summer.

Early to a meeting and stopped for coffee and breakfast. All I can tell you is these tasted as good as they look!

I love love love the eat here! Their jalapeno lemonade fuels my life. Also, their breakfast always leaves me satisfied. Their back patio is also super dope! Definitely a great spot to catch up with a friend or enjoy a book. Highly recommend!

This place is SUPER cute and has amazing ramen! They have somewhat odd hours, so make sure to plan your visit because it is worth it!

Nice kitschy place. However be prepared to order via a bar code and app. First time here this morning. Thought we’d give it a try. Staff was very nice and cordial. Ordered the All American. Potatoes were undercooked.. As was the other 3 orders with them at our table. Eggs bacon and sour dough toast were good Outside back area was a bit uncared for with some litter strewn about. The Bloody was OK, less a cheddar cube that was advertised. I love my cheese and my bloodies! No chaser! Not much flavor with the bloody either. Nicely shaded back area with a water fountain - needs some bleach tablets, water was very green.
