Best pastries in Madison and several convenient locations. Popper croissant, fruit danishes, chocolate croissants, and specialty items are all amazing. Love the atmosphere and cozy feeling. Good coffee too!

Currently has multiple health code violations, there’s an article up on Madison.com. The most enraging part of the article is the owner of the company not taking any responsibility rather placing the blame on the new staff. You’re the owner, if you had any integrity you’d take responsibility for the environment you’ve created and continue to maintain. Your staff is working under your guidance. I’ve seen all I need to see here, I’ll never be visiting any of your establishments. I’d rather be spending my money at an business that respects its employees.

I love this place! I'm here about twice a week and when we walk in the owners start making our regular order on sight :) The giant Burnese mountain dogs Diego and Pablo are sweet and well behaved, they brighten my day! The cafe has MANY gluten and dairy free options for my sensitive tum. And the place is queer friendly! 🏳️🌈

The coffee and pastries are quite good, and reasonably priced. With multiple seating arrangements, the space is conducive to both working and socializing. However, there are a few sanitary issues and I likely won't be returning to this location.
There are two dogs (the owner's, I imagine) that are given free reign of the storefront (they do appear trained to remain out of the kitchen, at least) that were set off barking multiple times throughout the time I spent at the shop. In addition to this, none of the pastries are covered by a display case or anything else, so are exposed to whatever might be floating around...people coughing, sneezing, or the sure-to-be-present copious dog fur.
Slightly less important but still bothersome, neither of the single-stall bathrooms were particularly clean.

This place is AMAZING, I'm so mad I didn't know about it sooner! Upon first impression it's a great new spot to grab some food, drinks, socialize, work, study, whatever!! Very chill atmosphere, and all of the plants bring a lot to the space. I haven't yet tried the food, but the coffee was great! Prompt and friendly service as well.
Also in case you haven't noticed this place has DOGS so if you don't like DOGS you could try one of the numerous other cafes around town where there are no DOGS. Please don't ruin this for the majority that really don't mind a furry face around. The gentleman I met today was very responsive and aware of his dog, and NO ONE seemed to mind his presence. The DOG is one primary reason I will be returning ASAP 😊
Excited to edit and review their food once I've had the chance to try it!

The Barista who made my drink was very skilled, it was delicious! And their cook makes the best French toast I’ve ever had, and even walked it over to me since I was just a few steps away from the pick up bar. Everyone was very sweet and professional. Thank you!

After two trips here Grace has quickly become one of my favorite spots for weekday breakfast in Madison. Parking is easy, the decor is lovely (they took advantage of the high ceilings and put in large, tall tropical plants), all the little details give it a great vibe and feel, staff is friendly, the drink selection is wide and wonderful, and they have many great dishes to choose from. On trip one we had the sausage breakfast sandwich and huevos rancheros and both were filling and delicious (my gf is latina and approved it). I love places that offer fruit sides but usually it's a sad mix where at Grace they gave me a big bowl of a variety of fresh berries. I'm also very picky about cold brew and drink it during every season, and Grace does it right. It seems that half the spots in the area that offer cold brew does something that gives it a strange chalkiness feel and taste. On trip two, I had the steak and eggs with a side of berries, and it was filling and well worth the price. The pastries are laid out on the counter and look delicious (maybe next time) After speaking to the counter "staff" for a moment it was realized that they were the owners whom seem to be wonderful people.
We'll be back, and often!

Amazing pastries! Cold coffee was good but VERY strong. Really nice patio area, mostly in the shade. The chairs were pretty uncomfortable. Free WiFi.

I ordered through door dash (and what is ironic is the problem wasn't with door dash) and the place was an hour past delivery time with already going through 4 different door dash drivers assigned because it was taking SO long. When I called to speak to the manager there was absolutely no offering of a gift card or anything for my time wasted. I was told by the manager that "many" people had waited an hour. This doesn't make it right. To be a manager at a place and not have any apology and not trying to make up for the problem is just ridiculous in my view. If I could it would be a NO star review---

The atmosphere is nice and pastries are delicious but their coffee selection sucks!! It always tastes fruity. Yuk. How can they screw up hood coffee!
