In September of 2021 my extended family met for brunch at the East Washington location of Grace Coffee and had an unfortunately sub-par service experience, and an honest but upset review was left. Today (10 months later), we decided to give them another shot - and we were blown away by the service this time. Over the past year it’s been a noticeable decline in service at many restaurants, but today was one of the best examples of service I’ve received at any restaurant/coffee shop/store.

It was clear that at Grace, the customer’s mission is to get a great meal without a great wait; it was also clear that at Grace, the team’s mission is to provide that - regardless of the baggage their customers bring. Definitely an area staple!

The coffee is great. The pastries are beautiful. The food is delicious. The decor is a little extra for my taste, but very well executed. The dogs are cute, but in three visits, I've had dog hair in my food or beverage all three times. When it gets busy, the kitchen becomes chaotic and we've waited 45 minutes or more as orders get delivered for patrons who ordered 30 minutes later than us. If they had a system that could handle peak volume and got rid of the dogs, this would be a five-star spot.

Very very good smooth tasting latte and americano. Good food! Try avocado toast

How many reviews need to mention “flies on the pastries” before you do something about it? Disgusting.

The pastries are sitting uncovered on the counter. Fruit flies all over the danishes. Bigger ones on the cookies and croissants. Wanted to get a few for the fam waiting in the car, but didn’t because it was so gross.

The coffee itself was ok. Got a latte, and it was a bit flavorless and extra milky (could barely taste the coffee).

Have been excited for Grace Coffee in Verona, but much less so after today. Hope the experience there is better.

Usually love going to Grace, but last time I went there I ordered an iced lavender latte with oat milk and they gave me a plain iced latte with WHOLE milk. I went to ask the waitress to make sure and she said it definitely wasn't oat milk so she made me a new one. Luckily I'm not lactose intolerant, but I still think that's a big mistake that shouldn't be ignored.

Great atmosphere and service.
Tried the vanilla latte and capresse sandwich, which were both delicious!

I prefer the sun prairie location. It has more seating and coziness to it

This is a such an amazing place. You walk in and you feel like you are a whole other world. The walls are black with beautiful artwork on the walls in white. There are gigantic plants and a beautiful pergola.

And then there is the food and coffee. Fresh bakery and meals just melt in your mouths. I’ve had the French toast, açaí bowl, croissants and muffins. The people are amazing and if you’re really lucky you’ll get to see Pablo their service dog.
