Decent coffee and brunch menu and a very nice beer selection. Pastries are good if you get them to heat them up for you (especially the jalapeno-cheese croissant!). Just be forewarned if you're not a dog person or allergic---the resident dogs visit all tables and there are sometimes tumbleweeds of thick fur around the place. But, if you dig dogs, they provide hilarious study break entertainment as you watch people wince at their barking or the constant ballet/pole-vaulting of the poor baristas having to work around them! :)

I use to love coming here, but today was beyond gross. I’m not alone when I say it’s not above me to report something to the department of health, because I saw 4-5 flies landing and hovering the bakery section. I use to come here for the baked goods, not anymore I guess. The open bakery top is just so unsanitary, get a glass case.

I was also given an assigned number stand, which lead me to assume I would be handed my food, but nobody told me I’m supposed to go pick it up at a different table? My food got cold and soggy. I don’t understand the point of the number stand.

The americano I got was great. But it was a bit cold inside. The tables/chairs seem a bit random and like it wasnt intentionally put together. Everything (walls/ceilings/trim) inside is painted black. Maybe I just dont get it.

Never eaten here but always DoorDash it. The food is amazing, the coffee is excellent and the pastries are out of this world! The danishes are to die for and I would pay to sit in the kitchen to learn how they make them.

Great iced latte, love the atmosphere. The avocado toast with street corn was very good. However the fresh fruit pastries were buzzing with fruit flies. They need to be covered and not just sitting out on the counter.

Since their beginning this has been our favorite spot to grab Brunch, Lunch and of course coffee! The pups are a huge added bonus and the service is amazing. Its chic and really beautiful on the inside as well. We love the owners and HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend it to all of our friends.

Really wanted to give this place 5 star. It is really incredible in any way possible. Staff is friendly, food is delicious, atmosphere is great, on and on. But what's with all the plastic? Plastic containers, plastic forks, plastic cups, everything plastic... For such an earth friendly place, please consider compostable products. Otherwise, I would definitely visit again and hopefully change my review to 5 star.

Tried Grace out for the first time a few months after the health code violations came to light in hopes their act was cleaned up. Very disappointed to say the least. My toddler and I just ordered hot cocoa and it is, hands down, the worst coffee shop cocoa on the near east side. Just chocolate syrup with an artificial flavor pumped from a jug and improperly balanced flavors too (way way too sweet, not enough milk flavor). And for $4 for a 12oz? Rip off.

Subpar cocoa aside, the ordering process was slow, confusing and way too cramped by dirty-appearing velvet couches leaving little room to stand. Having pastries lying straight on the counter (no plates, no paper) in the open air with just a plastic dome overtop is unappealing.

Go a few streets down to JPH for better cocoa, coffee & food

Was my go-to but now I'm not so sure.... I like ordering ahead and picking up my coffee order before heading to work but lately, I've arrived and still have to wait 10 minutes or so for my order, even when I show up well past the estimated order ready time. A more concerning issue is that they leave their beautiful and overpriced pastries out in the open which is obviously not sanitary in COVID times but also on more than one visit, I have seen flies swarming around the pastries and landing on them and considering flies throw up every time they land on food, it's just nasty. Since there are so many other great options in the area, I'm going to start going to them since the service and parking is more convenient.
