Cargo Coffee

Swankalicuous coffee place in the heart of new downtown in Madison. They have all sorts of baked goods and meal options. I mostly go for the people watching, everyone in there is cool looking.

The food is good, the coffee is okay, the wifi is really good. They recently changed the staff, they used to be much better, nicer and friendly. Now they close at 8pm instead of 9pm, like a couple months ago, don't like that change either.

Awesome coffee! This is a really cool spot to meet for a conversation, get some work done, or read quietly. It's a wide-open space so it's naturally a little bit noiser than hole-in-the-wall places like JPH or EVP, but has lots of cozy corner areas if you want a quieter space. The coffee is perhaps a little pricier than other shops in the area, but WOW is it strong. You really don't need a lot here!

Great drink options, friendly staff, and a great atmosphere. Good place to meet up with friends or colleagues, or if you need a quiet place to read or study, there are more private tables and a loft area.

Although I get the same thing every time, I’ve never had a mishap, so that’s good but I do have a complaint. Often times when I order a drink for there, they give it to me in a to-go cup. The first two times I brushed it off and taken the to-go cups with me for future use but this time it really bothered me. When given the to-go cup (non-biodegradable plastic with plastic straw) this time around I finally asked what the deal was and the man behind the counter said “sorry, I must have spaced on you wanting your drink for here”. Okay. Then I look around and EVERYONE in the place has a to-go cup! Come on, Cargo, yeah it sucks to do dishes but PLEASE stop wasting plastic!

Blended mocha drink is very refreshing on a hot day. Great social distancing measures in place. Plexiglass barriers, signs, limited tables. Also benefits from spacious interior

One of my new favorite coffee places, not only because it's a cool place to hang out but also because their Expresso is so good. I get Quad Americano's and they're extremely tasty. Not as acidic as other places. I also buy their Expresso blend a pound at a time just to make at home in the Aeropress.

Delightful staff and high quality. Breakfast burrito is really good and cheap!

I absolutely adore my brand new green coffee cup. The staff is wonderful, especially the girl with the purple and pink hair. She's a God send.
