Barriques - Fitchburg

They have an extensive wine selelection. The food was pretty good. My child liked the Italian soda. The staff needs to give more information to first-time customers. For example, I just wanted water, when all our stuff was ready and I still didn't have my water I went back to the counter to ask, only then was I told I had to get my own and where it was.

This is my favorite barriques location because of the interior. Very cozy and welcoming as well as what I would assume is the largest inventory among the locations of wine, spirits, etc. They have evens here as well, like wine tastings. Barriques is also really fun because they have spiked coffee drinks which are awesome before or after a movie down the street. Their coffee is probably my favorite in Madison second only to Tuvalu which is in Verona.

I've only been here once. My fiancé likes the place, so i thought I'd try it with her. A peaceful welcoming atmosphere wad my first impression. Employees are polite and the service was at a good pace. We placed our order and casually glanced at all of their alcohol. By the time we choose our seating our food was ready. I would recommend their smoothies and the huevos rancheros wrap. Real quality food and ingredients. I would come here again. We visited this location at noon.

Amazing honey latte. And the food was good, too. Plus there's a variety of beer and wine available to purchase...which we did. Staff was friendly. I'll take this place over Starbucks any day.

Delicious food and nice coffee flavors(maple cayenne!) but the prices add up quickly. I ordered a latte and asked for almond milk (because of lactose intolerance) and was hit with a $0.75 upcharge. Charging for extra shots or flavors makes sense, but charging for a substitution due to a relatively common medical condition is a little rude.

I love this place. The food is super interesting and delicious and it's a great place to work. The decor is rustic and just has good vibes with its friendly staff.

Was sitting at a table by myself and there were only two other people that were sitting inside across the room. I had not even finished swallowing the last of the scone I purchased and management comes over to my table and told me to put my mask on when I wasn’t eating. Trying to support local owners instead of the franchise stores but I will not be back.

I stopped in here for some cold coffee drinks and lunch with my husband. There is a neat gift shop and goods area where they have a wide selection of wine, beer, gourmet or artisanal items, kitchen gadgets, and more.

We both had chocolate croissants and coffee drinks. Mine was a lavender miel and his was a mocha. Very good coffee.

One thing I did not like was the cashier who looked annoyed and ignored me when I informed her of a bug (maybe a fly?) on one of the pecan rolls.

Good espresso and cookies. Quiche is lighter than other places, also less expensive. Staff was busy but pleasant enough. Indifference is okay with me. Solid cafe experience.

I've never really quite "gotten" Barriques. It seems like there is an issue with almost every order we've placed (last time they just plain forgot our order during a slow time and didn't seem apologetic when we brought that up with them) and the coffee isn't that good. Agave in a cortado? They must not even think highly of their own coffee. The one saving grace is the breakfast biscuit sandwich, which is quite good. I'm also really disappointed that they (the owners) would force out a niche super local coffee shop in the name of mediocrity.
